The play is Over the 182. The US beat Spain in Group play 119-82. Spain has no defense. Gave up 86 to Lithuania. US goes well over 100 while Spain lands in the 80's. Not to mention, the US is out to leave no doubt which country has the premiere men's basketball team. Take it to the bank!

I like the over as well, but we don't know what defense Spain is going to play. As we all saw last game with the Argentinians, they went with zone, and US couldn't hit a jumper at times and they kind of climbed back in the game in the first half, this will force US to make shots. If Spain plays man again like the first time, it will go over, but I have a feeling Spain is going to play zone, and if they do, this game will prolly go under...

Yet the final score against Argentina was 101-81. The USA doesn't have to shoot from the perimeter against Spain as they have no inside help. They will drive to the hoop if they have too. Who going to play defense for Spain? Gasol? LOL. Remember the NBA finals. El Matador defense. Same thing with Spain.

While I see your analogy....

Spain has more firepower then Argentina, and definately are deeper. USA scored 101 pts against Argentina....Argentina scored 81

Spain has showed consistant ability to score this tourney.
