Oldman's 5* Selection For Sunday 2/19/12

Coming off a (1-0)(+5.00) evening winning with my fourth 5* play in college hoops with an outright win on Michigan +5.5 (56-51). The Wolverines never trailed in the game. This brings my 5* record for 2012 to (6-0) including football. Coming right back with a two time 5* winner for me today for the following reasons.

Purdue will be without two of their top five scorers and they only play about 7 players to begin with. Dismissed from the team yesterday was Kevin Barlow, their starting forward, and suspended for this game is D.J. Byrd, their top 3 point shooter (44.8%). The Boilermakers don't shoot well to begin with at just 43% as a team and couldn't compete with the Spartans (58-83) on January 21st. The Spartans, currently playing exceptional ball, should dominate on the boards and their defense should shut down what is left of a depleted Boilermaker offense. Meanwhile can't see Purdue stopping Michigan State's offense while being short handed. The Spartans should once again roll as they did over Ohio State on the road (58-48) and Wisconsin at home (69-55).

There is NO WAY Boilers can stay w/Spartans on the glass. I got it @ 4, will be 5+ by game time. Izzo will NOT let this bunch get complaisant IMHO!
