Coming off an 0-2 day yesterday, losing on Cincinnati and Georgia. Some consolation was a win in the Skybook Sportsbook NBA Best Bet Contest yesterday with San Antonio/New Jersey Over the total. Not sure the protocol on whether or not to add the contest selections to my record as they are not rated plays. Would appreciate any thoughts anyone has regarding whether or not I should include the contest plays. I could add a separate line or just include or not include them. For now, win or lose, I will not include them as I could always add them at a later date depending on your feedback.

Since I have been a bit on the cold side lately, felt that I would pass today and take a short break and try and let this oldman refresh. I'll be back posting selections as soon as possible. I will continue to post my NBA Best Bet Selection in the NBA Forum for those that may be interested. Posted below is my current updated record including yesterday's losses.

Overall Unit Record YTD: (85-69.4) 55.05% 5*(1-0)(+5.0) 3*(7-4)(+7.8) 1*(59-51-2)(+2.8)
Overall W/L Record YTD: (67-55-2) 54.92%
NCAAB Record YTD: (26-31-1)(-8.3)
NBA Record YTD: (7-4)(+4.6)
NCAAF Record YTD: (21-8)(+22.0) (Final Bowl Game Record 19-8 Included)
NFL Record YTD: (13-12-1)(-2.7)

Plays are rated 1*-5*

Good Luck All.

Savant:

This is my overall record posted at RX since registering in December. My YTD normally runs from August through June. Basically, from the start of Preseason NFL to the end of the NBA Championship. Since I joined in December, I felt it only proper to post and record from that date forward.

ted, i also sit when cold, and press when hot.. did you see the home double digit favorites go 9-1 last night, now 39-3 over last 42.. and thats if you played the board, how about the selection process.. in case you havent caught on ted, playing them in ML parlays, havent lost one yet.. look at the board tonight and pick your 2 best dd home favorites and put in a ML parlay.. you will probably have to risk 4 to 1 -- but ive popped 9 in a row now, so i have a little room..

Now this oldman is starting to understand what you were trying to evaluate. In football, I actually do something similiar when there are two teams that I feel strongly will win outright but the spread is perhaps 7 or 7.5 and I don't want to lay the wood, I'll tease them at -110 or -115. Found my winning percentage actually outperforms my overall percentage. There are others with more points and it costs you a little more vig but the overall winning percentage more than makes up for the additional price. Many different ways to increase one's winning percentage. Continued good luck on this new venture.

savant the payback wont be that great, thus you must hit a very high percentage.. last night mil/prov ML parlay paid back almost 2-1. now mil was not quite a dd favorite, only about 8pts (i think).. normal payback is about 1:4.. thinking about dallas/seattle tonight, it pays almost 2:3.. doesnt quite qualify with seattle only being a 8pt fav.... stan is going against ucla and kan against richmond but the payback is only about 1:5..

it seems now that the sea/dall payback is only laying $300 to win $130..

for gigggles, i played this 8 teamer:

Mavericks
Ark Little Rock
UL Lafayette
Stanford
Kansas
Cal Santa Barbara
San Francisco
Austin Peay

laying $200 to win $320, lets see how it goes.
