Oktoberfest Beer

This might be my favorite time of year for beer, give me some good ones to try.

Good- Sam adams oktoberfest, Christian Morlein

Ok- Goose Island oktoberfest

Not a fan- Blue moon

Just bought a 12 of SA Okts last week and a little disapptd, more bitter than I remember. First time I tried yrs ago they were a bit on sweet side I thougt.

I dont think any okt is gonna be sweet, but some are more spicy than others, which is why i wasn't a huge fan of Blue moon

I love Oktoberfest as well. Nothing beats drinking Oktoberfest during a chilly football weekend

Sampled many in Germny and there are a few on sweet side.

Also try Hacker-Pschorr, Ayinger, and Paulaner. Becks and Warsteiner are good too.

Love the Paulaner, second only to Hofbrau Haus:drink:

If Blue Moon was a standard American beer it would be Coors Litght. But, hey the gals luv it so guess its not all bad.

Can't understand why people feel the need to put fruit in their beer. Is it more a fashion statement or does it really enhance the flavor of the beer? Personally, if I need to put fruit in a beer, I'll try a different type and stick to leaving the fruit for my cereal.:drink:
