FSU fan here....we suck this year but ????? OU went on road to beat all thier top 25 opponents. What did USC do besides CAL (at home)???? Had close games with Ore St and Stanford. :finger: :finger:
Aub vs OU is the National Championship this year but we won't see it.
Bash me but think about it.:drink:
Unbiased opinion........
OU is the only team among the 3 that has had to face 2 top 25 teams away from home in back to back games. I'm telling you right now, don't underestimate the Sooners. They had 2 close games back to back in 2000 (beat OSU 12-7 and K-State 27-24). They then went down to Florida to play FSU as 12 point underdogs and nobody gave us a chance.
Before you dismiss OU as a top 2 team think about this: This is a team that has 17 starters coming back off of a 11-2 team. Unlike USC or Auburn they've had the expierence of playing in the title game. In hostile territory no less. They will be playing in the friendly confines of the Orange Bowl this year. A bowl that has been very good to OU over the years. The North Division of the Big 12 stinks. But the South division where OU plays is a completly different story. I believe they are the best mini-conference in the country. And all of OU's tough games from this division has come on the road or on a neutral field with top 6 Texas.
It's still a mystery to me why nobody questions USC's schedule this year. I should say home schedule. Every big game they play this year is played at home. (Calif., Arizona St., Notre Dame, UCLA in L.A.). Their only hard away game came in the first game against a rebuilt Va. Tech team who still almost won that game. Sorry, but this schedule doesn't even come close to what Auburn and OU has faced this year.
I'm not saying one team is better than the other, although I would favor OU for the reasons above. I'm just saying OU and Auburn has had the hardest road there and probably deserve to play each other after they win their respective championships. Something that USC won't have to play.
