Ok It's Official: Outback Is The Worst Steakhouse Chain Restaurant

I don't frequent Outback Steakhouse, but have been 5-6 times out of convenience at the time.

Every single visit has been a horrible experience all the way around.

The steaks are terrible compared to other chains.


So last night we stop in after buying a Christmas tree, because again, it was convenient being right there & it was getting kind of late.

Gf orders a steak & i order Aussie Steak Tacos.

Gf's steak (i think most expensive on menu) was the most plain steak either of us ever tasted.
It tasted like a cheap sirloin (which it wasn't) thrown into your pan on top of stove at home.
Of course this has been the norm there on every visit at different locations.

I didnt get through half of one of the three tacos before i realized something was wrong.

Not only was the "steak" on the tacos merely shavings from the trimmings of other steaks (almost all fat), but it also stunk & tasted as if it were rotten.

Turns out my stomach started cramping & hurting when i got home & although i didn't get sick, i came very close.

I know this isnt sports-related but had to let everyone know who doesn't already about this craphole Outback Steakhouse!

You guys are insane and need to keep some perspective on outback. It is a great casual restaurant for casual occasions. Why does everyone feel like they have to order a steak there. I LOVE outback and never would I get a steak there. If I eat steak I'm going to go somewhere nicer and get a top end filet from somewhere known for their steaks. If someone has ever had...their...cheese fries, coconut shrimp,ribs,salad,wings,lamb,etc you'd like it. It's casual and cheap quit acting like its known for world famous steaks!!! You usually get what you pay for and my guess for say a $20 steak even that isn't too bad for the price. I ate there yesterday and it was yummy because it was a casual lunch which is what it's meant to be

outback is pretty horrible. Their chicken quesadilla is ok.

But it's a chain restaurant so you can't expect much

I always loved the people who think places like outback, Red Lobster, Olive Garden are fancy

I thought I loved Outback in College ( cheese fries)
I thought I hated Outback when I moved back to my home town
5 years later I'm living outside of charlotte, literally next door to Outback, and it was the best thing ever. They had this diablo sauce for these steaks that were $10 - insane deal.
Moved back home, only thing I can find I like is the Bacon Potatoe Soup...

So I guess it really varies by location, I think their steaks aren't good unless you get one of thier toppers.
I do enjoy the lamb when that is on the menu, but last time it was $25 and I rather go to a nicer establishment if I'm paying $25 a plate.
