thanks for your concern, but, if you are going to continue to ignore the facts i guess its no use to continually tell you that the numbers are no different than they have been and traffic remains steady.

NFL forum was doing well last night... was good to see.

Not really sure what can be done about the Offshore forum specifically though.

Just like you I would love to see the forum world be where it was 5 years ago, but it just ain't going to happen in this climate. The number of new people betting on sports has dropped drastically, which is going to hit every site. There is nothing theRX can do about that. And trust me, I am speaking from experience as I am looking at analytics from every site in the industry on a weekly basis.

As for your analogy above, you are comparing apples to oranges. First, there is no where near a 90% drop, and this is easy to check - Just look at the Currently Active users section, and you can see how many users are online and compare it to the max: Most users ever online was 10,046, 11-22-2009 at 09:58 AM. Wait until the middle of football, look at this number on a Sunday morning and you will see the actual drop off. Next, your example suggest that the drop off on theRX is all of their own doing. I think there was a time here where younger, more 'abrasive' posters where turned off by the policies here, but then again that probably came at the request of some of the other posters here - that falls into the you can't make everybody happy category.

Last thing, I will repeat what the mods are saying - you may not like it but most of the traffic here goes to the sports forums. From an advertising standpoint, that is a good thing as it gives me a targeted audience. I am on all the major forums and I promise you 1000 users in an NFL forum are worth 2x in sales compared to 1000 users in an Offshore forum.

There are things theRX can still do (and I believe will do) to entice new posters, but it's going to be in small waves.

I posted a thread in the NFL fourm 1 hour 15 mins ago, it has had 10 views, and there have been a total of 4 post in the WHOLE NFL fourm during that time.

Now it is a week nite, and college football is on.

But 4 post in the fourm?

Yikes.........

It's nice to see a professional response from someone in charge. Usually we get "fuck off, post somewhere else if you don't like it."

What does that mean?

It means they can set there window as narrow or wide as they want.

5 years ago members were counted active if they were online in the last 2 hours.

Now the window is wider.
Im not sure what they have it set at but its more then 2 hours.

Now if they are using a stat of most people ever online at 10000 in 2006 with a 2 hour window and comparing that 9000 online this week with a 8 hour window and trying to say they have almost as many viewers as they did in 2006 thats not exactly accurate.

You can have a million viewers online if you open the window wide enough.

But anyway thats the answer to your question.
