Some girl (Shelby Osborne) from Jeffersonville High School (IN) has signed as a scholarship athlete (?) to play FOOTBALL (NAIA) at Campbellsville University (KY).
Now wait, it gets better (or far worse if anyone wants her to live through this). This young lady is not a kicker. She is not a 320 pound sweat hog who can just stand there and get pushed around all over the field. She is a normally proportioned 5'6" little girl who plays defensive back.
I am sure this is a publicity driven stunt and this school has already labeled themselves as a joke.... but this is dangerous. There is a little film of her on the net. This is a very dangerous joke. Even small college football players are far more physical, as a group, than high school players.
I don't have time to continue with this crap. Some morons on here will find fault with my post. I can just hear them now. Like her high school coach and her Mom said on the film clip..... Blah, blah, blah..... "Let her follow her dream".... blah, blah, blah.
Likely most of the players will take pity on her..... But sooner or later someone will hit so hard her Mom will get a headache. Then they will have to cart her off and problems will ensue.
She will make Rudy look like Ray Lewis!
For God's sake...... can't anyone have the guts to tell people that (after all the recent bad press about physical risks in football) football is not a ladies sport.
All this political correctness crap may get someone hurt badly or killed in this case.
