BTW welcome to the revolution. Only thing you will regret is waiting so long.

Thanks

Here is another tip on the differences between the 3 servers:

server1 = main, live TV and catchup
server2 = alien, live TV and some movies
server3 = area 51, live TV

Is there any difference in resolution?
Is there a way to improve resolution?
What is alien exactly?
Ditto for area 51?

I'm that instant gratification guy :)

Not sure about the resolution. Area51 and Alien are 2 different IPTV services that the prodigy folks have access to and are providing. That's how I understand it anyway. The same with the 2 video on demand apps that are on the box, there is a lot of overlap with the 2 vod apps, but there are differences in content

Resolution is probably going to be more dependent upon your player in my experience.
Go to settings -> player selection and find out what works best for you
I believe I'm using built-in

All servers should provide comparable HD resolution content.

Correct. All services use Smarters interface, so they will look and feel very similar with some minor differences in channel categorization and availability. All servers have the main channels, some seem to have more PPV/events, they each have different regional locals, etc (I think server2 has the best selection of locals iirc).

Server1 has catchup (5 days of recordings on most major channels) and multi-screen.

You can toggle servers by clicking the person icon at the top right of the screen from the main landing page. When accessing a server for the first time you will have to install EPG (just click button). Then you can watch Live TV for the usual list interface (my preference) or Live w/ EPG to see a guide type format. There are options for series and movies, might be worth checking out, but VOD is my go-to for on-demand.

I normally live on server3 unless I am going to access catchup or multi, then I switch over to 1. Or if I want to watch local news from somewhere specific I will go to 2.

Oh almost forgot.
Probably the biggest must is to set up favorites on each server. Long press the OK button on a channel and Add to Favorites.
99% of the time I am on server 3 in the favorites section flipping around the 25-30 favorites I have added in there.

Another tip is I recommend watching sports on the ticket channels instead of the corresponding regional local. Better performance and reliability for me.

I have Nitro and Sportz TV and i found the opposite to be true, using the regional locals instead.
