I heard the Mayor of N.O say that 30% of the oil is refined in that area...Gas will be above 3.00 a gallon by the weekend in most major u.s cities I would bet.

Which I did by the way at pinnacle..Over 3.00 a gallon in either N.Y or L.A by jan 1...May get there by Friday.............:monsters-

As of 7:00 pm est the Oct crude contract is at $70.00 up 3.87 in electronic trading.

Light sweet crude up over 4.25 overnight for tomorrows trade. Daily limit up for crude is $10.

It will gap lower and then if everyone panic sells it may trade higher (only down less from the opening), but still be down for the day at the close.

Furthermore, they have a tough road getting the stock market higher with oil up more than 4 bucks and a major city being 30 feet underwater.

BTW oil prices will not be going down anytime soon. make sure you top your tanks off today too before the price jumps .25 at the pump due to Katrina.
