GTC aren't you from Minnesota? In my area gas was at $4.09 for half a day on Tuesday and yesterday retreated to $3.69. Don't you think many more speculators would drop if Congress followed suit and lifted their ban? This could have a significant effect on prices. You do understand there is a couple day lag between wall street and your gas pump don't you?

Oil should stabilize but fluctuate between $149.99 to $117.23 per Oil barrel for the next 14 months. It should peak to $183.46 per Oil barrel for a 2 month period in late October of this here year when Israel blows up Iran's nuclear sites. Eventually, the Oil barrel costs will tumble down to $22.00 per Oil barrel when we are able to fuel our cars with our own pee an heat our home with our wind.

This is my analysis, opinion and thinking on this here matter. Hope it helps.

Let's be real! Obama's no drilling for oil, no new nuclear plants policy is designed to enrich all the Muslim countries of the middle east. His father was a Muslim, his stepfather was a Muslim whom he lived with in the Muslim country of Indonesia and his mother who held dear to no religion certainly wasn't opposed to the muslim upbringing of Obama!

If the liberal press did a little more digging they might find a few of those prayer rugs in Obama's possession as he travals the lands where Islam was cradled!

An Obama presidency will mean oil prices skyrocketing!

Bush didn't do it. Obama likes gas prices high. Bush is great. Obama is bad. If you vote for Obama all the good people (neocons) will perish.

Watch how magically the economy gets better before election time just in time for white voters who say they are voting for Obama to change and pull The McCain Lever.

I wanna see Whoopi Goldbergs face after election day !

Compare the rise in the price of gas (in the last 30 years) to milk or college tuition, and then get back to me.

Silly Silly Silly

Many reasons can be cited for the falling oil prices recently.

1. Could be the us dollar gaining strength.

2. It could be the fact that President Bush lifted an a ban on oil drilling.

3. Oil consumption is down due to high fuel prices. We are now seeing the effects of your changing driving habits that took place a month ago at its peak.

4. The market is realizing people are getting frustrated with Congress and will eventually after a long haul get something done.

5. A bill passed 94-0 I believe about oil speculators.

6. The news about Iran and missile launches and Israel are not "front" news anymore; the issue is still lingering.

7. Maybe it peaked? Honestly, many analysts said it would peak around 150 and fall down to 110-120. If our new president doesn't have such a weak dollar policy as the current administration we could see it go back down to 70-80 a barrel. I honestly don't believe it will ever get any lower than that.

To blame the price of oil on the Bush admin alone is silly; however, you can't say that the current admin didn't play a role.

Also, I find it funny that Republicans seem to get the shaft more than Democrats.

Obama himself said he was happy gas prices have risen, he just wishes it wasn't this fast.

Remember when people thought the new "democratic" congress was going to fix all of our problems? Harry, Nancy, and others alike are trying to raise taxes right now on oil prices...

And this "windfall" tax that Obama is pushing is retarded. The government makes more money on a gallon of gas than Exxon, Mobile, or Shell. They have high profits due to high volume, not from a profit of the gas.

The next time a liberal prof. at your college (like mine) starts blaming it on the "record" oil profits by the "snobby rich" oil companies.. ask them this.. what is the difference between a profit and profit margin? They never mention the latter do they?

Even if you don't like the how "drill, drill, drill" mentality from the Republicans you can't honestly believe the Democrats remedies to this issue is really helping can you?

Simple economics.. Apparently the drill, drill, drill republicans are the only ones who took that class.
