Ohio states hot and Siena's sort of an unheard of. Does anyone have any info about Siena or insight on this game?

siena returns all 5 starters to a team that won in last yrs tourney.( I think they won 2?)

Ohio st has the best player in the big ten, with a 7 footer and a great shooter in diebler and buford can also stroke it.

The game is bascially in OSU's backyard

Right now I'm debating whether OSU's last loss was a good or a bad thing for them. Any other similar situations they were in during the regular season coming off a loss and playing another "unheard of"?

Buford is a pimp... but I want Siena to win.

OSU doesnt recover real well after loses. Everytime they have lost and followed up with a team not named Iowa they lost again. I do think they may be starting to come together, still a young team

According to one newspaper article I read today, Siena is not a good FT shooting team. Ohio State also leds them in FG% and blocks. All the romantics want to see an OSU upset, but if Siena is a poor FT shooting team, my bracket is gonna have to say OSU.

I bet Siena twice this year. Once vs Pitt and they covered and once vs Kansas and they covered. Siena vs Ohio State on a neutral court IMO will be a very good game.

Ohio State is the play and here is why:

1) it is basically a home game being in Dayton.
2) Siena is very good Mid-major team. Yes, they beat Vandy last year, but Vandy's up tempo and 3 point shooting style was a perfect fit for the Saints.
3) I don't know if Siena is MAAC representative if the game is not played on their home floor. Niagara is every bit their equal, so don't think because they made the dance they are best in MAAC.
4) Size- Lauderdale and Mullens will kill on the glass and that will provide OSU huge edge. Hasbrouck has to have a huge game for Siena to win. They are very balanced with Ublies and Franklin. However Rossiter will struggle against Mullens and Dallas. Also, with the exception of Rossiter, everyone else shoots below 70% from the line, which is critical.

Take OSU in this game.

Who said Ohio State has the best player in the Big Ten? Turner is not the best player in the Big Ten.

Ohio State will win this game. Siena is very tough and would have scored an upset over many teams but they got the shittiest draw of most of the teams because they got a #9 seed. I think they would much rather have a #12 seed. Ohio States defense is tough and much bigger then Siena. Don't see Siena pulling another March upset.

If Turner is not the best player in the Big Ten then tell me who is? Don't give me the Kalin Lucas bullshit.

Siena won one game in the dance last year; they beat my Alma Mater Vandy. Then lost to Nova by 12 in round 2. Would not want to face them in round 1 as they are pretty damn good.

I'm not saying Turner is nowhere near the best in the Big Ten but I think you can make strong arguments for all of those guys.

I think Ohio State is too big and strong here for Siena....really a bad draw for a good Siena team.

No disrespect, but if you think DeShawn Sims, Battle, Harris and Moore are all better than Turner, I don't think you watch the big 10.

Ubiles is Siena's top defender and will draw the assignment to guard Turner. He if he can keep him in check and Siena controls the pace, they have a good chance. High scoring game (150 or so): advantage Siena. They're a scrappy team with strong point guard play that creates turnovers and OSU is prone to giving it up. Tempo will be the key.

hahaha have u seen any big ten games this year? Those guys couldnt carry turners shoes. He has way less talent around him as well. Having help around them allows hummel and moore to get open shots. Those michigan guys are gunners. Maybe harris can match turner athletically but hes not close to as good of a player
