:think2:Locksley was rumored big-time to UF last off-season.....then Saban stepped in and offered him a on-field position. I think there was a gentleman's agreement that Locksley was next in line for the OC job. Just my opinion.
I'm curious to see what Alabama's staff salaries are once it's announced. I have to say, this is probably Saban's most unimpressive staff in 11+ years. I like that he removed the RB coach - but it's still a ruthless move by Saban.
WTF is Harbaugh thinking hiring Butters (McElwain)?? The guy is a cancer and Peter-Principled at UF. Michigan is in most pre-season Top 10's, they return a lot of talent. But I don't see it (that ranking). I'm not sure how much longer he lasts in Ann Arbor...
unimpressive? wow, i love it. influx of youth...Gattis one of top recruiters in nation, Kuligowski 44 YO and just coached a dline top 3 in sacks and TFL with lesser talent than bama plus recruits FL and developed first rounders for Missouri, Enos 49 YO been a HC and an OC plus knows SEC, Golding young guy that took UTSA from 101st to top 10 in defense.
i have some questions on Locksley but with Gattis and especially Enos & Pannunzio (both former HC) helping with game plan I think it's a big upgrade over Daboll and Sark. Lupoi been around long enough to take over well for Pruitt but you can't upgrade over Pruitt unless you hire Venables so that was always going to be some downgrade
Love the staff...won't be finishing outside the top 5 in recruiting next year with this group and tons of great experience and knowledge of SEC. pretty much everything the more recent hires (that are now gone) did not bring to Bama
