This is just to get opinions going and I did not want to post in anyone's thread.

I am not quite sold on TTech tonight.Their stats look nice on paper, but it is going to take more than Bobby Knight wanting to beat OSU to make me wager on the Red Raiders. How good has TTech been outside of Lubbock?A 15 point loss to TCU and a 15 point win over a UTEP squad that was without its All-WAC point guard.

Ohio State,on a neutral floor has a 2 point loss to Creighton and 17 point win over Houston.Throw in a 7 point loss at Clemson and to me it looks like they can compete in this spot. They have shot well enough in their losses-47 and 48%-and they do not turn the ball over.Their primary weakness is in the rebounding department.

TTech has the look of an NIT team-they have blown out the patsies, but what is underneath.Somebody tell me why I should back them.

Let me emphasize, this is not to antagonize TTech backers, just trying to hear arguments for both sides.

Good luck to all whatever you do.

I am a big fan Of Texas Tech and made a fortune on them last year in many situations. TT was underrated last year and again this year. Bob Knight has a group of good athletes that are very young overall. This is a very good defensive team that is still learning the motion offense. You are correct about their ability to perform away from home, they did go to UTEP and won convincinly but the miners were without there #1 player and ballhandler.

Ohio State has a very good backcourt that Knight has been telling his players will be the best backcourt they see all year. I don't see OSU turning the ball over in the face of pressure like some of the teams they have faced previously this year and turned turnovers into easy baskets.

By the end of the year, this Red Raider team will be tough out for anyone, but tonite I am taking the points with the Buckeyes.

Low Tide,

I am waiting until game time. I like this Ohio St. team and I don't see them as 8 or possible 9 points better on a 3/4 "neutral" court. Ohio St.'s only poor showing all year was at Clemson, and they lead deep in the second half only to lose it. They learned from it and have moved on. I've posted this before: I think these players really like Matta, and they seem to be responding to methods. T-Tech is good, but their schedule so far hasn't impressed me. The UTEP win was the most solid one on the schedule. Ohio St. should show up tonight. If you haven't played, wait until close to game time. We may see nine. I agree with you about OSU's rebounding. That's the reason Clemson beat them.

I can't believe TT is 8 pt fav. They must be considered a pretty solid club.

The hype has blown this game up and made the line unplayable if you're a TT backer. I like OSU to stay under 8.

Amazing the ease in which this played out. Congrats to OSU players. Never in doubt.
