I think your wrong about Oden heatwave. I'm not so sure he is a top 2 draft pick next year anymore. There's not any reason for it because he isn't ready and hasn't yet even dominated college games.

No GM would take Oden #1 right now! And for you to say that he might not pan out in the N.B.A. says it all. If you even think that, then he isn't a # 1 or 2 draft pick.

The hype is over on Oden as of right now. He can change that, but he would have to play alot harder than he is right now because that's becoming his #1 problem. He obviously doesn't work on his game. Another Shaq maybe?

Oden averaged 16/10/4 in his first college season, how is this not dominating? Do you even watch the games he plays in? He dominates the defensive end and gets most of his points off putbacks, because the only player that throws him the ball is Conley. Lewis, Butler, and Harris jack it off one pass. I seriously do not know what you guys are watching sometimes.

You say the hype is over now? What are you talking about? He is still easily the first or second pick next year. Who else in the world are they going to take over him and Durant? Spencer Hawes? Noah? Horford?
16 and 10 in his frosh season!

His 16/10/4 happens against teams without a center. It doesn't matter if he is a freshman or not because he is so much taller than the other centers he should get those stats easy and that's how he gets them, EASY!

The only reason he would be a top 5 pick this year is because of the "What if" factor. For him the what if is really questionable because it looks like he doesn't care about the game of basketball and doesn't even have any fun playing it. That right there is what some sharp GMs look for. Is he having any fun? No.

That's not a good sign my friend.

Oden just doesn't look like a player who will dominate in the NBA anytime soon. Compare to a Bill Walton or Lew Alcindor in college. And don't compare to Shaq was physically imposing coming out of college. Oden looks like he will need some serious coaching. He will struggle in Memphis or Boston if he ends up at either of those two franchises.

He won't dominate in the NBA anytime soon but it's all about potential. You guys are crazy if you think he won't be in the top 2 (highly likely he will go #1).

Memphis big man Joey Dorsey agrees with you guys who are bashing Oden. That's not good company to have on your side imo.

Bob Hunter commentary: Dorsey, Memphis' gabby 'Goliath,' considers Oden 'a lot overrated'

SAN ANTONIO -- It must be an interesting time to be Greg Oden.

Here he is in the Elite Eight of his first and maybe only NCAA Tournament and, apparently, he is no longer the man. After two below-average games, the once-and-future superstar is just a big guy who commits fouls, keeps his team from being explosive and gets a lot of pub he doesn't deserve.

Well, that's almost the way it seemed in at least some corners of the Alamodome yesterday. Media types who hadn't seen the 7-foot Ohio State freshman before the postseason were wondering whether the Buckeyes aren't better without him than they

are with him. And Memphis forward Joey Dorsey, who will be matched

up against Oden today in the South Regional final, went so far as to call him "a lot overrated."

A lot overrated? Calling the future top NBA draft pick a lot overrated before a game with Final Four implications makes you wonder whether Dorsey isn't a lot crazy. But then, insanity is sometimes the mark of genius.

"I think (the pro scouts) will really be watching this game (Saturday) night because it's two great big men going against each other," Dorsey said. "I'm an underrated big man and he's a lot overrated as a big man. It's going to be a great rebounding game for me. I'm going to try to outrebound him."

Disregarding the sheer stupidity of Dorsey's comment, the timing of it seems, well, idiotic. Although he might be consciously trying to psych out Oden, this seems like taunting a man who has an AK-47 and then poking him with a stick when he doesn't fire the gun at you.

Oden was undeniably off his game against Xavier and Tennessee, probably because he picked up quick fouls. So maybe, just maybe, there is a method to Dorsey's madness.

"We watched tape this morning and last night and he's a lot like me," Dorsey said. "He gets his head out of the game easily when he picks up a couple fouls. Then he stops playing and then he picks up another foul by trying to play too hard."

Fouls are always an issue with talented big men, both because they're so conspicuous and because opponents try to get them in trouble. So if Dorsey can get Oden thinking too much about not fouling, or trying too hard to get a little payback, or doing just about anything other than playing the way he usually does, it could be a masterstroke for the Tigers.

Of course, what Oden does or doesn't do might have little to do with any of this; no one knows how close the officials will call the game. One or two of the four fouls charged to Oden in the Tennessee game probably wouldn't have been called by Big Ten officials.

And then there's the other side of that coin.

"I don't know if people thought (Xavier coach) Sean (Miller) and I weren't going to talk after the game," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said, "but he told me what people were saying: 'Just foul him. They won't call them.' And that was a pretty good system across the board."

Oden said teams have been doing that lately and his mission is to ignore it all.

"Yeah, it makes me mad," he said. "But there's nothing I can do, because usually the second guy retaliates and usually gets the foul. So the best thing I can do is just play."

That is all he has to do: play. If Oden can be his usual aggressive self and stay out of foul trouble, the Buckeyes probably won't need another miracle to advance to the Final Four.

As it is, they might already have gotten this game's miracle in advance.

"I think it's going to be David vs. Goliath," Dorsey said. "I'm Goliath, he's the little man."

The "little man" didn't hear any of this yesterday. But he was told how Dorsey had said he was rooting for Ohio State against Xavier for reasons that are now obvious.

"I guess he (wants) to play me," a smiling Oden said. "So I guess I need to show up."

Does he always foul when he blocks shots? So far in this game that's all he's doing. And his offensive skills don't exist.

wtf are you watching? I just don't get it. He has gotten the ball 3x on the block, he dropstepped and made a jump hook once, he dunked on someone the other time, and then another time he took it into traffic and lost it against 3 guys. offensive skills don't exist.. lol.... this thread makes my head hurt. seriously... They also gave it to Joey Dorsey twice down low, both times he just threw the ball up in the air as he couldn't do anything with Oden on him.

3.4 blocks per game. 2.5 fouls per game, so I guess not. Or they would equal each other... right?

You are out of your mind. Oden will immediately be a Top 5 center and eventually Top 2 or 3. Average center? Ludicrous.
he better gain 30-40 lbs before he even thinks about making an impact with anybody.

Shaq has always been overated. The N.B.A. had to let him foul everyone without calling it to make him become this amazing great basketball player. Ever watch him shoot free throws? You call him a great basketball player? He has no moves to the basket even at 33 years of age.
i am not very impressed with shaq's scoring ability, imean if your that BIG you should only dunk. i know thats all i would do if i was built like him. ever see how big his hands are? you can't shoot a b ball with hands that big. if you dont believe me try and shoot some w a tennis ball. that is what it is like for me in comparision anyway's. it is about impossible to be accurate. but you still have to give him props for his ability and will to win. his rings say so anyhiw. not only that shaq is 1 cool motherfukker.

It will come as little surprise to anyone that even the biggest crow doesn't make much of a meal. However, the fact that it is often possible to take large numbers at a time can compensate for this. Since a morning shoot can easily net from 10 to 100 birds, you want to limit the amount of time necessary to clean each bird. Put out of your head any idea of plucking a crow like you would a goose or duck. Besides the breast meat, there just isn't enough edible meat on a crow to make it worthwhile. Using the technique described below, you can extract the best meat of a crow within a minute or two with very little mess.
1. Lay the crow on it's back in front of you with it's head pointed to the right.
2. Take a finger and locate where the breast bone meets the upper abdomen.
3. With a sharp knife, make a cut across the crow (wing to wing) below the breast bone. Don't be concerned about cutting too
crowcut.gif
deep, no edible meat will be damaged with this cut.

4. Holding the birds feet with your left hand, place 2 or 3 fingers under the skin where the cut was made and pull in opposite directions. The skinless breast meat should now be exposed.
5. Take the knife again and separate each breast half away from the bone starting in the middle and working outward. You should end up with 2 lime sized pieces of crow breast. Discard the remains properly.
