An Ohio sheriff on Tuesday sent an 'Open Letter' to Mexico's president requesting $900,000 for "dealing with your criminals."

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones sent the letter to Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto requesting repayment for the 3,000 Mexican nationals arrested in his county over the past ten years. It was rough math, but he wants to charge Mexico for their jail time, which he figured was about five days, on average.

He indicated that the figure could be much higher when you take in the legal fees and social services afforded these criminals.
"I think it only fair that you provide me with some financial support for dealing with your criminals," the letter said.

Jones told "Fox & Friends" that his county shares a water border with Canada, but the southern border is the one creating the most difficulties.

"It's killing our communities," he said.

Jones has been an outspoken critic of the recent border crisis. He wrote another letter to President Obama, saying the issue is a result of the U.S.’ inability to secure the border. He also said he wrote a letter to President George W. Bush, and called the problem something that manifested itself for years.

I've read about problems in the southern states like Texas, New Mexico, Cali out west, etc .....but I didn't know the problem was that far up north........

If our govt wanted to close the borders down & not let people in, they could do it. For some reason, our govt/politicians could care less & it has a lot of people scratching their heads trying to figure out why. What possible motive could they have for allowing this?

All DHS has to do is have a load of planes waiting at the airport in McAllen, Texas. The minute a kid is processed, you load up a plane full and fly them back. If you were the parents of a kid and you just spent your entire life savings to get your kid to the U.S. and your kid was back home within a week, you'd really think hard before you did it again.

I hope the Mexicans respond with a bill to the US for all the gun violence that easy access weapons have caused flowing across the border to Mexico

the US allows its weapons to flow unheeded to neighboring countries and then squeals like a pig in hot oil when citizens of those countries try to flee the violence that these weapons create

Do you know why?

Because they never are out in the real world, in so many towns & cities to see it with their own eyes.

In most places, you can drive or walk down the street and EASILY see the problem and tell the difference between illegal Mexicans vs Mexican Americans. The difference in appearance is obvious, plain & simple.

These politicians need some first class tours so they can see firsthand how bad it is...

the reason they (the politicians) allow this to happen is because they need money for their re-election campaigns.

how do they get this money?
donations.

who donates?
companies that hire and use cheap illegal labor

you'll never see a law passed that will throw a HR director, or business owner in jail for hiring an illegal

benefits for illegals, like schools, healthcare and other goodies, they will never go away. why? because those are perks for these companies that donate money to the politicians. if someone comes to the US and gets free school for their kids, free food, free housing they can afford to get paid $3/hour.

the only difference between an US citizen on welfare and an illegal on welfare is the illegal has a job.

The US citizens or the government. The majority want the border secure, then neither would happen. The government could care less if either happens. Not sure where all this squealing is coming from.
