<!--Tahman Bradley
-->ABC News' Tahman Bradley and Teddy Davis Report: Sen. Gordon Smith, an Oregon Republican who finds himself in a tough re-election fight, is airing a new television ad in which he touts his work with Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on tougher mileage standards.
"Who says Gordon Smith helped lead the fight for better gas mileage and a cleaner environment?" asks the ad's narrator. "Barack Obama. He joined with Gordon and broke through a 20-year deadlock to pass new laws which increase gas mileage for automobiles."
Watch the ad HERE.
Obama's campaign seized on the ad Tuesday to burnish its record of working across the aisle. Obama spokesman Bill Burton was quick to add, however, that Obama is backing the Democratic candidate.
"Barack Obama has a long record of bipartisan accomplishment and we appreciate that it is respected by his Democratic and Republican colleagues in the Senate," said Obama spokesman Bill Burton. "But in this race, Oregonians should know that Barack Obama supports Jeff Merkley for Senate."

The Repugnants are SERIOUSLY in high "Panic Mode" now, as I've finally figured out what's wrong with @ the forums!! They LOVE IT for years when they could push us around, as they duped the evangelicals into using our country as a breeding ground for ASSHOLE Oil Barons, and notice that NONE of us were getting in trouble then, but after those 2006 Mid-terms, and every since then, they are LASHING OUT with all but Barbara Bush's 1948 Tampon Boxes trying to throw bullshit @ us!!
I'm THOROUGHLY enjoying this!!!

:pope: All Praise Be to Obama (Cause we ALL KNOW he's really a Muslim Extremist that's plotting a secret takeover of our infidel country!!):pope:

I just feel sorry for him, as he's the most ignernt sumbitch to ever ride under the stars of Texas!!!
 NO WORRIES, though, bro!! It's ALL OVER this Fall!!!:pope:

Let''s face facts the election is BO's to lose--but it is an absolute tragic day in the United States--that when facing the huge problems we are facing we elect a slogan. The guy is about as qualified as GWB to be president and we all saw how that turned out. I am just afraid the contry is in serouds trouble with BO and a democratic congress.

The two-party system is a complete failure and now both parties are going to drag us to the bottom before we wise up and do something about it.

McCain is qualified?

Gramps cant take a piss without Liberbush there to unzip his fly

The GOP gets no sympathy from me ... they voted in 2004 for the
biggest fuckup in American Politics and McCain is nothing but a
continuation of his failed policies

Obama is simply the lesser of 2 evils when you look at the realities

This is outrageous nonsense borne of a mind that probably spends more time watching jerry springer reruns than actually paying attention to politicians who make important decisions regarding his life and his nation.

Obama has opposed Bush on practically every core issue that is currently affecting this nation right now. The war, energy, healthcare, social security etc etc.

Swap obama for the last 8 years and substitute their policies, then we certainly wouldnt have a war in IRaq, Afghanistan would be pacified by now and Osama probably captured or killed since all our resources would have been spent finding him. We most certainly wouldnt be embroiled in this unending economic quagmire brought on by Bush's careless spending, stupid tax cuts. People definately wouldnt even be getting fired from their jobs left and right because goverment failed to regulate the banking industry.. We probably would have a couple hundred millions more to help shore up SS because Obama is not stupid enough to appoint a f@3king horse judge to head FEMA.. Last i checked, he is not associated with too many people employed in the horse's ass, insepction business.

When i see some one say such bogus crap about a person who has been opposed to these stupid policies and says that Obama is less qualified, well then give me the less qualified..

After all, it turned out the Bush's best qualification was in the field of complete IDIOCY!!!

(I still cant believe that a$$hole appointed a f#$king horse show judge to head the nations disaster response organization. This after 9-11 and the f#$ker has not been brought up against charges of dereliction of duty..)

Then we find buttholes whinning about Pacman jones while murderers like this still roam around DC..

Let's start with energy. Do you really think conservation and new technologies alone solve our energy problems?

Yes indeed they are. New techonologies and conservation are indeed going to help solve our energy problems. Along with alternate energy sources exploited in environmentally conscious ways. Also with advancements in current existing techonologies.

You are falsely trying to condense OBama's energy policy as though this is all he has talked about or approves of?

Explain what alternate energy sources? What advancements?

The economy needs something NOW not 10 years from now.

Oh thats right he doesn't have any specific plans or ideas for an energy policy except it will be green and environmentally friendly. And if our economy is a shambles by then....

Yeah, Hope and Change we don't end up paying $8 a gallon for gas while BO taxes OUR oil companies and make it impossible for them to compete in the world market. Of course another famous president tried that windfall profits tax and it was a fucking disaster...anyone remember Jimmy Carter??

Uh buddy... I asked you a question. Do you or any body else have any plans to fix our energy crisis right now?

Please if you have a plan then divulge it immediately.

REason i ask you this is because pretty much every educated person in the USA by now knows that there is no short term fix to our energy crisis.

So i find it rather bothersome that there are still full grown men out there that actually think some one as a plan to drop the price of gas to 2 bucks a gallon..

If thats your opinion..then buddy, please understand that there are no Genies and that thing that fella told you to rub in that that back alley definately wasnt a magic lump...(i would imagine that all that hair and those two sagging orbs hanging off of it would have clued you in by now)

Next ten years spend $100 B a year on new technology. It is the long term solution and would get us politically away from the ME. In the short term Nuclear (works great in Northern EU countries) and drilling off the cost..which also works great in Norway. Nuclear waste is a problem but no unsolveable. I like McCain timeline to have the US off oil by 2025 that sounds reasonable...but I think we should be able to cut 7 opr 8 years off that with enough investment. We need a short term and long term comprehensive solution. BO is beholden to the liberal arm of his party and can not even sensible talk about the energy problem for fear of alienation...for all his talk about Hope and Change he is really just another liberal running for president.
