Fish, I have just been researching futures, 17-1 is the highest offered right now,

also I was watching Philly/Ottawa, you catch that game? wow the fans were going nuts in the city of brotherly love during the brawl at the end of the game...

If the Flyers can get back roenick/primeau/desjardins, they have to be considered real contendors, especially if Burke or Esche can get hot...man they are loaded with talent now that they have amonte & zhamnov.

Flyers - Senators, Officials needed about 90 minutes after the game ended to sort the penalties. The previous record for penalty minutes was 406 by the Minnesota North Stars and Boston Bruins in 1981. The Flyers had 213 minutes and Ottawa had 206 tonight for a new NHL single game record of 419 minutes.

After the game, Philadelphia general manager Bob Clarke, captain of the Broad Street Bullies teams of the 1970s, went toward Ottawa's dressing room, but was stopped by Flyers officials.

"Their tough guy (Rob Ray) got beat up and then their next two lines fought guys who don't fight," Flyers coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I don't care what it shows them. We played a great game."

I thought I read in another thread that you picked them up awhile ago at some big odds.

I got them at 25-1. GO LIGHTNING!

Actually, I will hedge the hell out of it.

IMO they're not quite ready.

But what a great run.

what a game this was wil, first of all8 goals so lots of scoring excitment, then the brawl at the end...these clubs HATE each other, my heart is torn as I am from OTTAWA but am a lifeling FLYERS fan. The brawl at the end had the crowd in a Frenzy, this was old time hockey, if they can get the game back to how this one was played there will be no problem's in the NHL, anyone who says fighting isnt good for hockey should take a look at the tape of the fans going berserk during the brawl...

great game...

They are as ready as they might EVER be!

They made a nice run last year(which everybody forgets), but this team is much better.......they are I think 14-1 since acquiring Darryl Sydor.

No doubt they are a very good team playing a great game lately, 17-1-1-4

Only one loss over 23 games is unheard of!!

I question Khabibulin and no really good defensmen, Khabi generally plays good, but is a headcase and tends to get shaken easily.

Definetly the best 1-2 tandom in the league.

Another relative easy win last night.

I am now starting to think this team may be peaking a tad to soon!!!!

This is an INCREDIBLE run this team is on!!

DONT LOOK NOW, BUT THIS TEAM LEADS THE ENTIRE NHL IN POINT STANDINGS!
