I hate car makers. I wish that there were only used car makers and not new car makers. Well, yes, that would be impossible, but new car makers are continually attempting to get me to come down to their dealerships and spend a bunch of moeny on a new car, and because I am highly resistant to marketing tactics they keep coming out with cooler and cooler cars, knowing that I am a sucker for a hot ride (automotive or female.)

Ladies and gentlemen of the Rubber Room, the 2005 Ford Mustang GT.

And the limited-edition, 5.4 litre, supercharged, 400 horsepower Mustang Redline Edition.

So much asphalt. So little time.

I like that car as I like Mustangs anyway. We still have an 89 GT Mustang, a 95 GT and also a 98. All are ragtops except for the 95. I can see this one being my next pony.

400 horses!!!?

Hey, I've got a '71 MACH-1 that's been tweaked out to the point that it pulled 660 horsepower in a dynometer test. Baby goes and goes and goes.

Phaed,
Stop posting those beautiful pics ... you're making me cry. I still thinking about my 2000 GT that was traded in for something that could fit a car seat

Not to be a nitpicker, but it turned 660 on the dyno.

It has a great sound to it. I installed a gear drive that makes the engine sound like a 767 when it's at idle. I have tweaked and tweaked that poor car to the point where it bears little resemblance to the original MACH-1 under the hood, and the original was a formidable car for its day.

I also have a '71 Corvette LS-6 convertible with a 454 that pulls just over 500 horses, but because it has a standard transmission and rear end to it the torque sucks terribly at just under 400 (much more and it would tear the transmission out of the case when it changes gears.) The Vette is more of a boulevard cruiser; a sexy, candy apple red, loud engine drop-top. The MACH-1 is an asphalt eater that I would put up against almost any other street-legal car out there, even modern high-performance sport cars and custom jobs.

What I don't get, Henny, is that kickass cars and naked or mostly-naked women tend to go pretty much hand-in-hand with sports and gambling, at least among straight men who actually know something about the sports and bet real money on the games they play. One would think you would know that, being such a regular at an online gambling community, even if you are a regular who is banished to the basement because you're such a fúcking embarrassment to the site and can't learn to behave like an adult.

You know what? It doesn't matter. That time you had that eleven-game streak in the 2002 MLB pre-season was your permanent meal ticket as far as I am concerned. And I know that you are just around the corner from another big streak like that, and will get back all that golf chasing money before you know it. I feel it in my nutsack, seriously. Oh ... wait ... no ... that's Identity. Nevermind.

Fücking loser.

There does not seem to be any reliable info on that at the moment but the V6 is estimated to start in the low $20's. Tons of info on the 2005 and the entire four decades of Mustang history can be found here.
