You need server co-location, dedicated server lease, private virtual server or shared hosting?

What kind of site?

Why offshore?

If it's a site that's likely to get DDoS extorted, I know a good provider that can setup protected IPs in Switzerland and many other places. In that case the location of your *real* server is less important. That starts at $500/mo.

P.S. no reason to host within CR until after RACSA gets broken up... CR's bandwidth is horrible, better to go with a panamanian solution imo.

Judging by my experience with well, everything tico.. I am going to pass on the CR hosting (thank you for sharing though). And I will be using Panama. Right now I am using Panamanian hosting but we need another server incase there is downtime, we don't want to miss a beat.

Privacy is what it's all about..

$500/month is way too steep..

$500 per month is expensive?? Prolexic starts at around $20,000.

Anyway, you never specified what kind of hosting you need. Co-location generally starts around $150 per month per U.

Managed hosting is easier to find in the Netherlands and United Kingdom. U.K. law is very clear servers located in the U.K. do not constitute a nexus nor business presence in the United Kingdom.
