I have been at this for years and can take a loss but you will never ever be able to explain to me how the game isnt even done yet and oklahoma has shot 32 free throws and purdue 2

That is just too big a bias

I am assuming you are just looking at the stats. Oklahoma attacks the glass and pounds the ball down low. Purdue lives on the perimeter. Not a poorly officiated game, just contrasting styles.

While this may be accurate in some circumstances, you are completely wrong. Purdue shot 29 3's to Oklahoma's 19. That is not a difference of 46 to 5 free throws. I'm not sure you watched the game, because I saw several times where Purdue was getting the ball down low. Purdue is far from a team who lives on the perimiter. This could be a good loss for a young(but experienced, weird huh?) Purdue team. I think they're a legitimate team all around.

Oklahoma is overhyped and I can't wait until they lose. Unfortunately, a difference of 41 FT attempts stood in the way.

Also, look and see who shot the most FT's for Oklahoma....WILLIE WARREN. Yeah, he really pounds the glass.

Actually I think it goes without saying that Warren was the most athletic player on the floor yesterday. When you play Purdue's defensive style, similar to UCLA, you need to understand that there will be games like this. Oklahoma's frontline might not have nevessarily been bigger, but they were more athletic and that counts for a lot when refs are looking at contact. Hell I was on Purdue. Just felt they didn't take care of the basketball down the stretch and tired defensively.

Officiating in every sport has gotten much much worse. Guarantee you that today in Football and Hoops today I will be asking the question as to whether or not the refs are even watching the same game that I am. With the atheletes bigger and faster they need to add refs to the game to be able to monitor the game better (oh, and stop taking the payoffs as well)
