I like the DOG in this spot.

Lowe seems to have regained his confidence of late and the underdog price looks somewhat attractive.

Remember also, the Bosox have allready taken 6 out of 7 from the Bronx boys this season.

Yanks certainly are hitting on all cylinders right now though.

I have Red Sox +1/2 for 5 innings and +1 1/2 for the game.

Pitching matchup looks favorable for Boston.

MANNY RAMERIZ bats something like .375 against New York and has a similar average vs. Rivera.
Giambi had been awful against the sox batting in the low 100's.. .those would be the key hitters for the series.
Lowe has been terrific both as of late and against NY, the sinker has been working tremendously, the same sinker that nearly won him the cy young in 2002. If the yankees manage a sweep, the sox can do nothing but play for a WC. If the red sox manage a sweep, it will be an incredible pennant race. after the last sox/yanks series the yankees have outscored the red sox by 10.5 games to take a 5.5 game lead.

those are some tidbits I heard on ESPN. as far as who to take, I am a bundle of nerves I guess I would back the sox, but the yankees really scare me and now they have ruben sierra swinging the bat really well they didnt have that last time we met I really think thats the X factor for them. as far as who makes the best chocolate, that is debatable but that stuff from England is too expensive, too buttery and rich and will leave most with an upset stomache.

funk i do agree with you with manny he has personallly owned the yankees guy is unbelievable hitter. david lowe'S LAST 2 STARTS AGAINST THE YANKEES his era is over nine,but the last 5 games he has been pitching lights out i like the value of the dog tonight but my heart wants to see them take this first game. still the yankees bats are not up to par yet..bernie and giambi batting 7th tonight. whatever happens its still too early in this very long season to say who is gonna win the division. have a great night kidslick

Fisherman..I didn't expect you to admit the Yankees are indeed better on paper (which they are) as they are also better on the field, and in the standings...

The Bosox better watch the wildcard, as they will be pushed from the Western runner-up!

EXACTLY!!

Last I looked it was JUNE!!

Hope the Yanks are looking forward to facing the three man rotation of PEDRO, CURT, and TIMMY in the playoffs this year!!
