Blue, I agree w/Analyze Part 2 & The Fan, but thought DeNiro did nice work in Stanley & Iris(comparable to Pacino's work in Frankie & Johnnie), and he is a better actor than Pacino, with much wider range.
Pacino was really good in Godfather 1&2, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, Scent Of A Woman, Donnie Brasco, & Carlito's Way..but the rest??
They both seemingly are taking paydays of late, or need to get better advice from agents and casting gurus, as both their recent choices and works smell of contentment?
And Hoffman..he quit mattering ages ago!
What happened to choosing to preserve one's legacy via quality choices or punt, the way Welles, Newman, Redford, Olivier, Finney, Sharif,etc..have?
