Only way Kalan Porter loses Canadian Idol is if he loses his voice or something like that....

Also don't see how they can give it to anyone other than Ritter given the circumstances...

SS, you got it. They did not put Ritter on the ballot for two episodes of 8 simple rules. He effectively died on the set. His wife/widow Amy will be in audience to accept. John Ritter was one of Hollywood's true good guys. Loved by everyone. This has feel good written all over it. The Emmy people nominated him out of respect for his lifetime accomplishments, groundbreaking Three's Company and his dying in the line of duty. Would the voters give it to someone else while wife/widow sits teary eyed in audience. I bet no. People will watch show just to see that. Best Wishes...OF

these two plays above remind me of last year "PETER JACKSON TO WIN BEST DIRECTOR"....

I pounded that one so much... laid up to -600 in the end, was a MORTAL LOCK.

I feel the same about these two plays....

where do you feel the value ends? would you say -180 on ritter still has value?

TWO ARE LEFT IN CANADIAN IDOL...

& one of them is Kalan Porter... He is now -1000

hoping I can pull this one off... alot of money tied up in this little fellow....

Like I said when I bet, however, it is his race to lose... he needs only be 'good' to take this prize.... It will require a complete stumble for him to lose at this venture...IMO

Also loaded up on as much RITTER as I could find... RITTER is my betting lock of the year... (It would have been Kalan Porter although I knew most of you woudnt lay that kind of Vig).

Ritter is now +180 at OLY...Kelsey Grammer has taken the lead as a favorite.

At +180, I might consider it, but you have to understand that Emmy voters are ONLY supposed to judge performers based on the tapes they submitted. Nothing else.

Ritter did not give the best performance of his group, and no one really debates that. Grammer's submission is very strong. I think Ritter even getting nominated is honor enough, since he sure as Hell wouldn't have if he hadn't passed.

I think LeBlanc and Larry David are easily worth $50 wagers at +3000 and +2000, respectively. David did a bang-up job with the season finale of "Curb"...Hell, he could almost pull off the actual "Producers" role. That's a bit much to give in a five-horse race.

it baffles me... I can still get Kelse Gramer at + 350 elsewhere so it seems very odd to me... I am wondering wether they meant to post -180?

KALAN PORTER WINS CANADIAN IDOL... Phew

had a few sweats there with 1.5K on the line to win 400$, however, this was definately a 'VALUE' play as there was no way this kid was gonna lose..... Unless he had all of a sudden lost his voice.

NEXT....

We have this John Ritter Prop... I must admit I was baffled by the line movement at the Greek all of a sudden....

John Ritter was moved to +180 all of a sudden but he has now been bet down to +110...

Most other books that have a line on this event have him as a -200 favorite or more. Does the greek have the inside scoop? I am getting nervous...

I just cannot see them giving it to anyone else with his wife in the audience...

Perhaps however they will do a special tribute for him which will allow them to ignore him for the award....

as far as my bets go I am holding tight.
