So when do you think she might start those hearings again? LOL

CIA Says Pelosi Was Briefed on Use of 'Enhanced Interrogations'

By Paul Kane
Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.

In a 10-page memo outlining an almost seven-year history of classified briefings, intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the interrogation tactics. Then the ranking member and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, respectively, Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002, one week before the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The memo, issued by the Director of National Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency to Capitol Hill, notes the Pelosi-Goss briefing covered "EITs including the use of EITs on Abu Zubaydah." EIT is an acronym for enhanced interrogation technique. Zubaydah was one of the earliest valuable al-Qaeda members captured and the first to have the controversial tactic known as water boarding used against him.

I have zero problems with anyone who knew and didnt speak up about it going to jail but its never gonna happen

Nothing will come of it from any of this because because the govt is doing shady shit all the time and if B goes after A then very likely C who are friends with A will come after B as well
And they dont want that

I know you guys want to spread the blame on Dems as well but were those briefings classified? And if so what would have happened to her/ been charged with had she gone public with the info? Would that not have been treason?
So are guys mad at her for not commiting treason???

Of course she had knowledge of this. I would assume that the leader of the opposition party still knows about almost everything that goes on.

But knowing about it is not on the same level as devising and excecuting something illegal

As almost always when shit hits the fan its 90% Repub's fault and 10 % Dems^^:):toast::dancefool@):)^^:)

It will never cease to amaze me how politicians clearly lie yet know the proof will be presented just days later. Of course, unless she's plugging her unfortunate male secretary, her lies will be forgotten by Monday

“In that or any other briefing . . . we were not, and I repeat, were not told that waterboarding or any of these other enhanced interrogation techniques were used," Pelosi said at a news conference in April. "What they did tell us is that they had some legislative counsel . . . opinions that they could be used, but not that they would."

You would think you might realize by now that I don't even find fault in waterboarding. Or did you forget that already?

But Nancy and people like you, will y'all like to rewrite history. I'm sorry one of your heros lied again, but you should be used to it by now.

ST I wasn't responding to you. I was merely spewing hatred.

But since you asked, I wonder where "harsh interrogation techniques" end and "torture" begins. I think the issue here is whether Nancy P. is a liar or a hypocrite.

ya probably....but if she knew directly about waterboarding torture as opposed to being forced to watch blossom reruns i think there is a difference........not a big one but a difference

sorry Steak

IDK, but I'm thinking even the words "enhanced and harsh" clearly don't suggest traditional methods for questioning. Obviously, they're doing something different otherwise there is no meeting.

At best, I guess Nancy can claim she stuck her head in the sand and didn't want to know the details. I would hope my elected officials try to become as knowledgeable as possible about any topic they're given oversight of. In other words, ignorance is not a defense (for those who think a crime was committed).

WOW ... what a reply ...

In normal discourse, this line would be "checkmate" ... "game, set ... match" ... "show's over, see ya soon".

On the RX, the moonbats won't get it and will continue arguing.

PS: I need to borrow this line

Nancy Pelosi is as dumb as a rock.

She was told about it but probably wasn't paying attention, as usual. I can just see her eyes wandering around as they start discussing waterboarding, while she daydreams about some "fact finding" trip she is packing for.

She will never admit it though. She would rather have people think she is a liar than stupid.

The reason she is speaker is that she gets a lot of campaign funds that she doesn't need to run for election in her crackpot district and give most of it away to other demo. candidates - so they all owe her.

another one that doesn't understand

1) I'm not opposed to waterboarding, thus I don't blame anyone

2) I didn't blame Nancy for anything

3) I said Nancy is lying for pretending she didn't know

4) I merely said "Nancy knew"

where do they come from?

:ohno:
