taxes in fiscal 2018 (October 2017 through September 2018), according to the Monthly

It's not the Government doesn't have enough money it just spends to much.

Everyone pays the same % on the same amount of income. Each person is taxed @ X % on the first $10,000 and then X% on the next bucket of income.

this is exactly why my proposal that every household have one eligable welfare recipient ( ebt food stamps, public housing sect 8 etc ) .. will take away all the animosity .. if you are rich but have a young relative you can transfer your " +1"

I don’t know why anybody is upset with low income people who get tax refunds, or get government subsidies. Those low income people spend every single dollar of that money in the United States economy and are responsible for driving the United States economy with that spending.

If you cut off all welfare, unemployment, food stamps, Social Security, and everything else the economy would completely crater.

My problem is that it's an expansion of our welfare system under the guise of a tax cut. It also happens to be one of the most abused sections of our tax code.
