The man, with a reputation for being fiercely liberal, with a history of voting for tax increase, a history of wanting to repeal Bush's tax cuts and a history of opposing any and all tax cuts, wants us to believe he's going to cut taxes while he grows government faster that anyone can comprehend. It just doesn't add up.

Obama occasionally supported higher taxes, joining other Democrats in pushing to raise more than 300 taxes and fees on businesses in 2004 to help solve a budget deficit. The increases passed the Senate 30-28.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I like CBS's use of the term "occasionally", since he voted with the Democrats something like 100% of the time.

There is absolutely nothing in Obama's history to suggest he believes in broad based tax cuts. Furthermore, giving the Democrat's history on taxes, it's mind boggling that anyone can believe he's going to cut taxes.

And since an estimate 33% of Americans don't file tax returns, how can 95% of Americans benefit from his tax cuts. Another 33% (50% of tax filers) have a microscopic, if any, tax burden. How do they save taxes of consequence? They don't

Who's gonna pay for all this chit Einstein? The fucking market?

You gotta be fucking on Dubya sac sucking drugs to think this deep shithole is gonna be funded by trickle down voodoo economics.

You have lost it my friend to think that the Bush sac likkers who got a tax break in wartime don't have to pay the fiddler now.

Free clue....time to pay the fiddler is NOW, not after we've passed it on to our kids and are long gone.

Cuss' are you stating what most of us know? and welcome it?

Obama's tax "plan" is bullshit.

It looks good on paper but we know hes raising taxes and is lying through his teeth

Even on the middle class

is that what youre welcoming?

Nope, the plan is to rescind the bullshit tax break on the wealthiest. What's the problem with that?

You want your kids and their kids to have nothing?

Responsibility is the key word here.

We dont need to argue about whether we agree with trickle down economics or not

either way

Hes raising taxes on the middle class too.

My point was I dont believe he can fulfill his proposed plan

either his social promises or his tax plan are lies

something's gotta give

I've seen the proposed effect of the plan scrutinized by an independent group. It doesn't raise taxes on the real middle class.

But, I go back to my original question? All this chit. War, policing the world, bailouts of the rich fucks on Wall street every other week, an aging population, health care issues, future liabilites...

Uh whose gonna pay for that dude? The dumbya fairies?

I don't get it. We have seen the culmination of our living standard. It's over, it's peaked and the fiddler wants his paycheck. We can't stiff him, if we do more bad shit goes down.

McVain is more of the same old shit. Give the new guy a shot. What more could we lose?

Well, it looks like nobody cares to take on Obama's tax history, which obviously counters his campaign rhetoric.

As for your points Cuzz, with Obama's desire to grow our welfare state, how can you think he's going to reduce our deficit?

Heritage, Cato & Brookings all project soaring deficits under his plan, not reductions. Admittedly, they project soaring deficits under McCain's plan, with at least one caveat provided by Cato, McCain's plan is more likely to stimulate economic growth. There is no chance in hell Obama's plan stimulates the economy.

In any event, the deficits may be overstated because the assume current levels of war spending and no significant changes in economic growth. Thus projections are all over the board.

It's not W's economic policies that are primarily responsible for the current deficits, it's the wars.

Of the two, McCain is far more likely to be honest about the deficit and control it's growth while in office. Obama is just whistling Dixie, just look at their respective records and ignore the hype already.
