Obama won't attend Paris march

Washington (AFP) - President Barack Obama will not join other world leaders at Sunday's Paris march in tribute to the victims of this week's Islamist attacks in France, a US official told AFP.

Ever since the bloody shooting that killed 12 people at satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday -- followed by separate attacks that left five more people dead -- Obama has made repeated declarations in support of America's "oldest ally."

But he will not join other leaders including British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, all set to attend the march.

More than a million people were expected to go.

Way to show how we value that relationship with our allies. Then again, I doubt any of them even want him there in the first place. Kind of like how he never seems to find the time to attend Army-Navy football games that every other president before him did...he probably detests everything the US military stands for, just like he sympathizes with the lunatics who went on a rampage in France.

The founding fathers basically structured the government so Congress would take care of whatever is on the domestic agenda while the President's primary focus is to represent the US internationally. I'd like to know what the Stuttering Clusterfuck is doing tomorrow that is considered more important. What a miserable, disgusting POS he is...and an embarrassing representative of the US to the rest of the world.

I think he should go, but it's not that big a deal if he doesn't. The Obama is to blame for everything Idiots would just nit pick on him if he did go, but chewed gum or whatever. He can't win with them no matter what he does. Can't blame him for not wanting to miss Dallas- GB.

I don't get it. Did allies all come to the US after Fort Hood? I think the last thing France needs and wants is tons of US secret service and security up the ying yang. Let the mourn the dead. That is all I will say about it.

I don't know, Scott. Why did any NYPD cops show up to the funeral of the two slain officers? It's not like they HAD to be there, is it? And the people who were chastising the mayor's idiot wife for wearing blue jeans to the same funeral...I guess they were just looking for anything to "hate" on, right?
