I thought it was shallow. The immigration laws need change. Trumps speech was really good laying out the lax laws at the current times. Obama has to own up to it, not try to put down the repub party. It was a very passive speech to not adress the issue, but rather point fingers. Tougher immigration laws need to go into effect. Time to take action against this problem.
Certainly disagree with your characterization of the speech. As for content, Immigration had nothing to do with the Orlando tragedy, so not sure why he would have spoken about it in this speech. What does immigration have to do with stopping a 29 year old, New York Born, Florida resident American who committed a horrific crime? The problem in this particular tragedy was lack of flagging someone that should have been flagged, who bought an assault rifle easily and legally, without the needed checks that could have prevented it.
