Isnt it about to time he started feeling at least a little more comfortable out there. Im not asking for a Brady like performance, but the deer caught in the headlights thing is strange.....

It seems like any time he has to throw a pass, he has horrible form and the ball just flies out of his hand.

Is it just me....

Not to change the subject:nohead: but I agree.

Not just you Slim, I see the same thing. I could be wrong (and it wouldnt be the first time) but he doesnt look like he has good mechanics at all.

I think ive watched as much of Russell as anybody. When he was here he was a very sharp and natural looking passer..He looks a lil tentative in the 3 games ive seen with Oaklnd so far.
I think this is because of 2 reasons, #1 the raiders dont want him throwing because they have a whole stable of running backs and their recievers are not very good. Curry cant catch a cold and that multi million dollar pot head they signed is next to useless plus their O line isnt real great either..So i think they only have a few carefully scripted pass plays that they feel somewhat capable of running.
When he was here he often changed or called the play himself and with all day to throw and throwing to draft pick recievers against avg college joes he was much more relaxed as you tend to be when your in a dominant position. Now i think when they call a pass play he is so worried about executing it properly that he wastes a lot of his natural ability...It doesnt help that his coach looks even more intimidated than he does!!

we kind lucked out on the alabama game cause I kinda pulled a rookie move and went and stayed on 10 for a little too long, so we got hammered on arkansas but it would have been ugly if I would have stayed on the 9/9.5.. I guess mistakes sometimes pay off.

pro, about a 3 to 1 ratio on Denver, not really very heavy though as 4 oclock games are kind of forgotten because most customers prefer to bet the 1pms first and only after they have a good feel on whats going with their early bets will they bet the 4pms....

If it becomes lopsided, Ill post it.

So much for my dreams of a 2-1 football team.

it takes 3-4 years for a QB to develop. putting them on the spot is no good most of the time. i like the bench them for a couple years then start them way of it

TE Zack mIller is their best weapon and receiver, and yet the guy is used for blocking purposes!

weak oline
weak wr's
basically his rookie year

and he;s on a running team so doesnt get many chances just has to manage the game.

I still wanna see some progress tho.

the best thing is he hasnt thrown any INT's but has fumbled a couple of times.

I say give the guy some time and weapons. I also don't think he'll ever be a good QB and I think he was one of the worst #1 overall picks I've ever seen, but you can't judge his pro career until he gets a legit chance. Will he succeed when given the chance? I can't see it happening, he's really not a good QB, but can't judge until it happens.
