As long as you have someone on life support running this team, they will never get anything done. It really is that simple. Look at their draft. A perfect example of a person of quetionable mental capacity totally overruling everything that his staff and coaches put together. It will take years for the Raiders to have a total transformation, and that can not start until Al Davis is out of the picture.
Rumor is that they will start Garcia, but that destroys Russell's confidence. Garcia is an old man who MAY have a year left in him. If you start him, you may win an extra game or two, but who cares if you win 3 or 5 games. You still are the worst team by far in your division. By starting Garcia, you do serious damage to Russell, who will probably demand a trade, like any other sane person would do if they have to play for that bunch of losers. So you have to dump an unhappy #1 draft choice. So stupid, but that is the Raiders.
