not accurate. The dds will provide either rct or extraction at an emergency appointment, time permitting. Much better than simply antibiotic therapy which requires 48-72 hrs to provide 'relief', assuming it will (wont always, depends of the virulence of the micorbes and the spectrum of the antibiotic prescribed. Usually, a broad spectrum antibiotic does the trick,tho). Of ocurse, there are exceptions.
rinse with copious warm salt water rinses. If you begin to run a fever, have dysphagia, or the sweillign gets worse, immediately go to the hospital. Oral surgeon(s) will be on call. If not, hang in there, and showtime on Monday
