Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist has a fever and an elevated white blood cell count and will not race in the June 11 Belmont Stakes, trainer Doug O'Neill told the Daily Racing Form.

An expected move and a smart move... probably out of the money if he did Belmont, finishes behind Exgrtr and CherryWine for starters regardless of track conditions. Now he can regroup and win some races out west and consider BC Classic when time comes. Still shaking my head that they ran him so hard early in Prkns.
