Update- Today I read in the local paper that the ref (sorry can't recall name) who made that erroneous call has been struggling with depression since that game. He said he received death threats following the game as well.

The article reported at the the time, this replay official did not have access to the replays that were shown on tv. He has been demoted. He will now be, get this, the post review official. In other words, he will be judging how the replay officials performed their jobs. For that bit of work, he will be paid a tidy sum of $350 a game.

Since when did the officials become part of the teacher's union?

That makes no sense. If he didn't have access to the replays that were shown on the T.V. then why is he being demoted? And why is he so depressed if he didn't have the right t.v. camera angles and didn't know himself if the right call was made. Why would it affect him?

Sometimes they lie right to you when they give you stories like these. Clearly he had the right t.v. angles for the right call. He just didn't make the right call for whatever reason. He only knows the right reason why he didn't make the right call.

I mean what angle was he looking at? What angle could he have been looking at? Sounds like a bullsh*t story to cover his a$$. Didn't see the same t.v. angles as we the fansd did. Fat chance!
