Oregon + 21.5 5 Units

I was on ASU this past weekend and if it were not for 5 turnovers that turned into 21 points that game is a lot closer. They did some good things on defense but you just cant lose the ball against a team like Cal.Oregon is a team that is improving each week on both sides of the ball and I feel will put some points up against this Cal team and give the Bears a stiffer test than the Devils did.Oregon is a team that is playing with a ton of confidence right now and will continue to improve each week

Oregon State +18.5 4 Units

OSU is another team that is coming on strong and have a shot at redemption as they got crushed a few weeks back against Cal on their home field. They are playing much better right now and even though USC looked solid this past weekend against a woeful Wash State squad I think OSU comes with their "A" game on thier homefield and plays a tough one and hangs within the #.

more to come.....

GL, on the Oregon Play, I agree, I think this could be very close. I know Oregon lost to Arz ST, but Oregon has much better Offensive Balance then Arz ST. GL

Arizona - 1 3 Units

The battle of Pac Ten cellar dwellers.UW entire staff was let go today and they are coming off a loss to rivial Oregon.Arizona is further along than UW and with the emotions of their reacent loss and the firing of the coach I think AZ comes out of this with a "W".Arizona still can play defense and may even score a few in this one. Ugly but I will put a few scheckels on it. :coffeetim

Prophet...

Oregon +21 is my pac 10 game of the week, depending on what happens with the Oregon State/USC line. I actually got Oregon +22. Another good play is Oregon/Cal under 50.5. Cal could pitch another shut-out here, and Oregon's defense is just a step behind Cal's and USC in the Pac 10 heiarchy.

As for Oregon State, do not be fooled by wins over the three worst teams in the Pac 10. They are very young and are perfectly capable of throwing in the towel if they fall behind early. Derrek Anderson will throw at least three pics this week. He simply can't deal with a pass rush. USC will easily dominate the line of scrimmage, as OSU's O-line is young and easily intimidated, USC will shut down the run early, and force OSU to pass 50 times. I'd like to see this line fall to 14 but I don't think it will happen. The Auburn line last week was a similar situation so hopefully betters will jump on the Beavers and their perceived "home field" (35,000) advantage.

Washington and Arizona? I don't want a piece of either of these teams. Arizona is abysmal on the road and I'm guessing the Husky crowd is going to be elated for not only a possible 2nd win, but the Gilbertson Countdown.

I like ASU this week against a struggling Stanford, and I have no idea which defense will show up when UCLA plays WSU.

Oregon is my lead play as well right now but i do like OSU. ASU should win out with Stanford being their toughest test left.

ive been to all the oregon home games this year, 21 points is wayyy to much to give to them. take them and run!

cal is good, but oregons defense is higher than they've ever been before -- and this game is for 2nd place in the pac 10- you couple that with a USC loss (if that every happens , im looking for notre damn to beat them this year, or possibly UCLA at UCLA ), and your essentially playing for the pac10 title.

Dr. Pepper....You should change your name to Duckfan or Knightboy. The ugly yellow in the jerseys has blinded you, son.

Playing for 1st place in the Pac 10....that is laughable. You are looking for USC to lose to Notre Dame or UCLA, as if you expect them to, or you are praying for them to.

Be honest about your beloved Ducks. The combined record of the five teams they have beat is 11-30, including two one-win teams. Many Duck fans I talked to that were at the game said the home crowd was booing the ducks in the 1st half last week. They have not beat a team with a winning record, a team anywhere near the top 10, or a team remotely close to as good as Cal.

Oregon's dink and dunk offense will get shut down against Cal, and they will be lucky to get two touchdowns. On the other hand, the Duck defense has looked strong of late, again against three of the worst teams in the Pac 10. That is the only reason they might cover here.

Oregon will lose two of its last three, maybe all three. Hopefully the civil war is for the Sun Bowl, and the Beavers will bitchslap the Ducks.

Too funny WC. My sentiments exactly.

However (just to be honest) I fully expect the Beavers to self destruct this week for example, but hopefully that would not occur during the bitchslapping part of the Civil war a bit later. :)

It's just a damn shame to see as much talent as they have go to waste over some old habits those kids picked up back in the hood. At least there haven't been any arrests we know about so far.

Conan...

I got no comment on whatever bad habits some folks learned back in the hood, because I still have a few bad habits I learned back in the hood of Corvallis!

I think it is more of a shame that Mike Riley has instilled absolutely zero discipline into that team two years in. Earlier this year a beaver player was talking on a cell phone during a game...unbelievable. Beavers will get a chance to prove themselves the next three weeks, hopefully they win two of three...or I should say two of two after this weekend.

Yep, that hit the nail right on the head. I am surprised they all didn't demand cell phones after one got away with it. At least they have random drug testing... don't they? (I know what's cookin in Philomath)

Just as a side note, look at Dennis Erickson now. I thought he said he'd never leave his boys again? WHATEVER!! I think it's all just bad karma... first he's building a program and running a tight ship etc etc... now he's trying to manage a bunch of NFL primma donnas.

Things like that make me wonder.

dinking and dumping is at least going to get Oregon some field goals, and if they get some confidence early on, who knows...btw, anyone watch Cal's kicker? not really impressed with him...

Prophet...I'm on Oregon...But certainly not as $$$$$ as the past few weeks in the Pac 10.

I'm just trying to offset the Duck Hyperbole that tends to follow this team after they get a big win, or in the past six weeks, five little ones.

I'm on them because it appears their D has stepped up and I think 22 points is too much to lay here. That's the only reason. Certainly not because I'm buying into the Oregon offensive jaugernaut which is a complete joke.

Oregon really has not proved anything except they can beat bad teams. Tedford will not let up, would love to turn the screws on the program he basically put on the map from 1999 to 2001 (Yes, Tedford, not Belotti), and wouldn't be surprised if Cal pitched a third shut out. But like I said, I like 22 points, so if it's 21-0..I win. 28-7...31-10...34-13. All winners!
