The Irish have a loaded team and an interesting schedule. Barring a series of injuries I'm thinking ND could be pretty good this year. Last season they started 6-0 before losing to Florida State, then the injuries started mounting up and the second half of the season w caved in.

2015 Schedule

Texas, @Virginia, Georgia Tech, UMass, @Clemson, Navy, USC, @Temple, @Pitt, Wake Forest, Boston College, @Stanford

What do you think men?

Loaded but unsure at QB. 19 returning starters. Tons of new coaches...most an upgrade.

Toughest game is a rebuilding USC team or the cut block Jackets from GT. Don't know much about the returning starters but it's a pretty easy schedule.

They will lose at least two games. Tech, Clemson, USC, and Stanford all have the ability to defeat the Irish. It is a rather easy schedule by Irish standards.

That Gtech game comes off a road game at Virginia. I like Tech's chances there. We've seen that offense give ND trouble the last two years in the form of Navy

Kelly is a top 10 coach. I'm glad he's there and doing well. They look solid this year. Just have to look out for spoilers (upsets).

3/4 tuff games.. Just like any school. You stay healthy you got a chance. I was shocked what ASU did to them.. May be returning 19 but that 19 didn't do that great last year, defense was horrible.. They need help on that side of the ball..

Actually the defense was one of the best until our 3 best players went down mid season. After the Stanford game we were starting 7-8 guys on defense who were freshmen or red shirt sophmores.

Injuries killed ND the second half of the 2014 season.

Quarterback turnovers has to be corrected this season for any kind of a great year.

As mentioned in a previous post, Notre Dame has the toughest job of all getting into the playoffs. They have no conference at all to fall back on. They are basically at the total mercy of the teams they play. If the Irish play 7-8 teams that finish under .500, they are in trouble unless they run the table. Winning 5/8ths of the ACC does not count.Basically a Notre Dame loss to a good team pretty much eliminates them as a playoff team because like the Big 12, the Irish have no playoff game to fall back on, as Ohio State did last season, and unlike the Big 12, the Irish have no conference championship to win.

I agree. I believe if there is such a thing as a ND team being underrated it is this team. Kelly has recruited too well and added enough quality depth that i don't see this team going away anytime soon. I believe the key for them making the playoff this year is Everett Golson winning back his starting job and returning to 2012 form.

Will Golson even be the starter? Mr. INT certainly is a major risk at QB for the Irish.

Who's Mr.INT? Golson fumbled the ball by carrying it like an idiot and trying to do too much....INT's weren't good either.

You will get packages for both no matter who wins the starting job

Even though kelly comes comes across asshole on the sidelines, the guy can flat out coach...with the returning starters and easier schedule, I don't think they lose more than 1 game...

Golson is a head case. He still may transfer after he graduates in May. Notre Dame has a major QB problem and that means losses.

How do they have a major problem if Golson transfers? Do you have a single clue about ND's roster or just throwing around the hate because you have no life and nothing better to do?
