I have an idea this will be the statement game for USC this season. Since they get no respect for torching ranked Pac 10 teams on the road, I have to figure they blow ND right off the map. I wouldn't be surprised to see them score 50 in this game. The thing is what will their defense give up? Not a lot I imagine, not this game.

ND is not that great, that week off just lets people forget how they have used smoke and mirrors to garner some sort of following. Who have they beat this year? They haven't played a single quality opponent, and they lost to Mich St.

Little bit different lining up accross from a bunch of overrated Big 10 schools and facing a legit team. Even when they beat Washington. Washington was much better in that game than the final score. Wash had an INT in the endzone, and lost a fumble on the goal line.

If Leinart isn't still dizzy he might have 500 yards in the air against these guys. Bush won't need to run the ball.

Obviously I am in the minority since this game has gone towards ND, but basically through dead numbers. I doubt we see 10, but anything is possible once people start back up on the ND band wagon.

Who has USC played that is so tough?

Arizona State and Oregon...both of which are better than Notre Dame.

Who has Notre Dame played?

An overrated Michigan team who lost to Wisconsin and Minnesota...a terrible Pitt team to open the season...an obviously overrated Purdue team...the worst team in the Pac-10 (Washington). :icon_conf

I know a lot of decent teams that would be 4-1 at this point in the season with Notre Dame's schedule...and none of them could beat USC.

The Pac-10 is the most underrated conference in college football in my opinion. Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, USC, and UCLA have quality football teams.

I'm not convinced that we've seen USC play a real game yet. They've shown some serious signs of sleep walking through the 1st quarters or halves.

I can't go against this team until I see what they can do when playing a full 60 minutes.....which might be pretty damn scary. Until then, I'm on them or passing-and it's pretty tough to justify laying this many points on the road vs. a solid ND team....so it's looking like a no play for me.

I'd like to see ND take them out just to put an end to the neverending USC worshiping. I can't see them making the championship with a loss-not in a season that looks like it's going to have 2-4 undefeated teams come bowl season.
