Back to back shutouts by of all pitchers.... Brown and Mussina ? Yiks.. How can that be ? Of course the A's are not exactly a juggernaut.

yes it is a LONG season but the Yankees also have to hope that theR-sox, O's,Twins,w-sox all cool down also.No matter how good the yanks play,these 4 teams are the MAIN reason why I think the Yanks are done right now!

R-sox win their division
Twins win their division
Angels win theirs

This will leave the top 3 wild card hopefuls to the w-sox,0's and Yanks.If this is the case,my money would be on the 0's and w-sox b4 Yanks. However,I do believe they will give someone a sh*tload of money b4 the trade deadline(a top pitcher)

My opinion hasn't changed one bit, Only the Royals are better then the A's in Al. This is a bad team with horrific hitting. Winning 2 out of three at home against Oaklnad does not make this a WS contender. Might check out the Pinny prop again for a hedge though

Yankees pitching still stinks and Kevin Brown is still washed up...

THe A's had him on the ropes but because they are such a weak hitting team they let him off the hook...

ANy decent team would have racked up 5-8 runs on him...

I can't wait to see his next game and who they are playing because most likely I will be on them...

i'm not sure abt the yanks yet. but i'm sure k brown is finished. this season for him has been really bad. the game 7 vs boston was not only pathetic, but unforgivable.

I am not a Yankee fan but Brown did pitch 7 innings of 5 hit shutout ball. Mussina pitch a 4 hit shutout on Saturday. I believe it is way too early yet to say their pitching is terrible because last year Randy Johnson was more than just OK. He had the lowest era in the league. Also, Pavano was 18-8 last year with a fabulous 3.0 era. Too early my friends to stick a fork in these guys yet

If the Yanks make the playoffs, they would probably still be the favorites. Randy Johnson and Pavano to go with the offense the Yankees have would not be easy opponent IMO
The next 30 days will tell us more. Like I said....way to early It's May 9
