NORTHERN ILLINOIS -3½-140... two running teams , give me the better QB and better defense

My bookie has this at -4.5..... The toledo QB was hurt in the kent state game but is expected to start. He has a really bad ankle supposedly but will give it a go. Their backup qb was awful when i watched that game. I have to imagine if NIU puts a few hits on the toledo qb his ankle/leg won't be able to hold up. On top of that the star rb for toledo has been dealing with a nagging ankle sprain all year and theyve been limiting his carries... The huskies at home is looking like the bet to me. I'm with ya

They also have that kid Macon who they converted to a to a receiver . I'm a little surprised to see the total so high

The total came out at 66.5 and my bookie has it at 59 right now.... Both teams score, that's for sure... I'm just banking on the huskies defense handling a toledo offense dealing with nagging injuries and not 100% healthy... I could see this thing going over 59 for sure

I don't think that I would agree with NIU QB being better than ANYONE in D1.

UT ranks 124th out of 125 in the country in passing yards allowed, and 121st in passing efficiency defense. Massachussets amassed 497 total yards against the Rockets.

these two teams are going in different direction, Matt Campbell has not improved this Rockets team

Be cautious, Toledo is 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight trips to this venue and they lead the MAC in rushing defense this season.

I understand where you are coming from but this is to take over first place in the west division in the MAC... This game is at home, the huskies are healthy and have a better overall defense. Toledo may have a great rushing defense by the rank 113th in pass defense... Yikes that mean the play action and roll out passes should be wide open all day.... Toledos qb is listed as doubtful and Kareem hunt has been limited in his carries due to a nagging ankle injury....hard for me to base my pick off of previous trends instead of the health of both teams and home field advantage with the west division title within grasp.... I'll take the advantage of NIU's momentum, health, home field advantage and motivation to take over first place here.... Good insight bad cat but Im sticking to my guns on this one and I'll wear it if I lose

Rushing defense isnt a trend. Hunt isn't on the injury report so he will be just fine. NIU may win, but won't cover against the best team in the MAC. Hopefully the squares drive the line up a little higher.
