In a nutshell, a big foorball marketing machine out of Cleveland, Ohio. Some people hate them and some love them.

Over the years they have been solid in preseason. They used to be pretty good in college but have hit more around 50%, maybe lower the last few years. Their NFL was good last year.

Anyway, you metnion Northcoast and their leader Phil Steele and you stir up a lot of emotions on this board.

Absolutely horrible last year in college football, but decent in NFL.

For additional information on Northcoast and what they offer, refer to a thread in this forum on page 2 entitled "NFL Handicapping Books?".

As others have said, they have had solid NFL Preseasons over much of the last 15 years and have performed well in the NFL Regular Season over the last few years, but their college releases have hovered around 50% the last few years. Their Preseason releases do tend to move the lines due to their long term success.

You can check out the record of many monitored sports services at www.thesportsmonitor.com. Best of luck to you.

imo...one of the best i have found if you want service plays...has been a good source for mnf with good record there..sides and totals...last year i had account with offshore book with no juice on mnf....paid NCS only on winning selections ($25.00) and wagered $500.00 per game...was very profitable...

Northcoast's recent NFL Preseason record as shown in their Power Sweep newsletter:

2003: 15-6
2002: 10-5-1
2000: 11-6-1
1998: 12-5-2
1996: 10-4
1994: 12-5
1993: 13-7
1992: 10-4

Notice 2001, 1999, 1997 and 1995 were not shown. Most probably, these were either losing years or years that the results were around 50%.

As for me, I've recently been diagnosed with a rare disease with neither a known cause or a known cure. My specialists have described it as my body rejecting itself. I'll be seeking additional opinions on the matter. It is not fatal, but I find myself fatigued quite a bit of the time. But, that being said, I'm still kicking, but pace myself. Thanks for asking.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

For the last damn time DO NOT refer anyone to that ripoff site called sportsmonitor.com. Those are the most fictitious records you will ever see on the internet. Like an idiot, I bought into that sh*t a couple years ago thinking it was a legit site like everyone else. Low and behold the so called number one service Special K Sports was a joke to say the least. Kevin Karr, (which is not his real name by the way). His real name is Kevin Corboccio a fvckin construction worker in Clarksburg, WV. which is all he'll ever fvcking be. I'd like to hang him by his neck. Anyway, he couldn't pick his ass from a hole in the ground, but yet sportsmonitor.com kept showing him winning week after week all season long and finishing #1. My guess is the owner of the site Ruth GlasCOW gets paid a lot of money to make up those phony ass records you see on the site which are nowhere near their actual records. Stay away from these con artists. You've been warned!!

Northcoasts power play is a bunch of crap as well. I know it's difficult, but think for one moment. If Northcoast or any other Guru was that good don't you think everyone would buy there selections or just one person buy their service and post the selections on RX so nobody would ever have to post anything ever again on this site except for Northcoast picks or some other Guru. I should have listened to my own advice a couple years ago, but couldn't get anybody elses experience with the sportsmonitor so I had to try it myself. Like they say, if it's too good to be true then it probably is!
