My overall opinion about Phil Steele/NC with the late phones this season can be summed up this way:
If one wants to look at it relative to how they have done over the two previous seasons, it can be said that so far they have done better
considering that they are hovering right around 50% as opposed to 2022 and 2023 when their picks were horrible and
especially in college sides being under 40% for both seasons and when they lost around $20,000 in 2022 and $13000
in 2023 including the cost of service.
That said, as one can see, they are down almost 6K for this season including the cost of service.
Thus I guess if one wants to take the half-full approach as opposed to half-empty, yes they are improving.
Obviously though, most people pay a sports service to win for them rather than to simply lose less than they did before,
which is the case here.
The bottom line is with the college season winding down and the NFL entering the 25%-30% of the regular season and then the playoffs,
Steele/NC are going to have to go on one hell of a miraculous and unheard-of run in their case to just get even for the
season let alone show a profit!!
