North Texas

North Texas (+32 1/2) ***

Does anyone else out there think that this is too many points to be giving N.Texas. They had a nasty D last year and a decent running game. They are mediocre at best, but Cal proved to us the other night that a mediocre team can stay within the spread of the Big Guns. I think Okie wind this one buy 24 points.
Somebody has to think this is a big overlay, the line opened @ 35.
I like N.Texas plus the 32 1/2 for a 3* play.

i love ntexas. a lot of info in my thread on this subject. i am a sooner as well. this is just too many points. i'll play it at kick here locally where the hype is outragous. it will be 35 by kick. gl to you.

I love NT getting 35, I bought the half a while back. I'll be looking at a 2nd half on this one as well. The reason I didnt pound it is b/c the Sooners can score on defense, maybe more so than offense. OU may not score 35. Maybe gob can update us on how bad their offense is looking

I'm not so sure guys. I'd stay away from this one. NT has a good defense. This is a fact. BUT, OU has a great Defense. This is also a fact.

OU's defense should keep NT's defense on the field all day. It's not going to be hard for ou to score when they get the ball on NT's side of the field all day long. NT won't get to the other side of the fifty but a few times.

This game could be 50 and it could be 14. I'm staying away from it. The difference in the spread in this game could be a blocked punt and an int/kick returned for a td from a complete nightmare for NT fans. If that happens early, they are in big trouble.

I hate OU with a passion, and their offense is VERY unproven right now. But I think they can come out impressing people here. I don't see NT scoring more than 10 pts TOPS, and that comes on a fg, and maybe a td late in the game.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ONE.

The more I look at this the better I feel. Oklahoma goes to Alabama next week. They may be overlooking the Green Machine. I agree with shortbus, that this line could be higher/lower, but it is only week one and no one has proven anything, yet. This will be a D battle with Ok. pulling away in the second half(by 3 touchdowns) I am certainly not looking for N Texas to light-up the sooner D, but they may get a Defensive score themselves.
Slvr & ATX it is good to see quilty cappers like yourselves with N.Texas.

bus hate is such a nasty word. and to think i want the pokes to win every game but against the sooners. your partying at my place this year. i'll wager a case of beer. so bring it as i will be drinking it throughout the game. bus, i am a sooner and they will not cover. as i stated in my other thread, many of the players are from oklahoma. ntexas is only 2 hours from okc. many of these guys families are coming. they will be pumped and pissed ou passed them up. as most of the pokes feel every year they play the sooners. very nice game here.

Live in the area, and everyone should beleive in the hype surrounding North Texas. Granted they won't win the game, but should cover this one easy. Don't see them giving up a lot of points, but they aren't going to score against a very awesome Okie "D". Take the Mean Green and your money to the bank.

OU ROLLS. Newly expanded stadium. 81000 fans. Bad memories of the National Championship getting away from them the last two years. They will not look past anyone. Over 50 point to 10 or less for UNT.
