we could see nomar to the cubs, prospects from the cubs to arizona and randy johnson to boston.

tough one for red sox fans, its not going to make them better now, but it would keep randy out of new york. seems like a good deal for chicago.

i guess boston has to deal nomar as it seems increasingly unlikely they can keep him after this season ( he's going to be a free agent). but I hate to see nomar go! Pokey Reese can play short the rest of the season, but thats a huge downgrade in the offense.

The New York Post is reporting that scenario.

It has also been reported in the BOSTON GLOBE.

From the Boston Globe-

Twin city interest
Both Chicago teams, the Cubs and White Sox, surfaced in speculation here involving Garciaparra, but a major league source said the Sox are more than happy with the play of the shortstop and aren't close to anything at this time . . .

Am one of the FEW Bosox fans that would like to see Nomar remain a Bosox.

that would give the cubs one rediculous offense to go along with all that pitching they have.
