I read somewhere that NO SCORE in first innings is often 50%, no matter the team. Sure there are streaks. Now that games are a bit more meaningful and pitching essential, I think NO SCORE % will increase.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, sometimes Sundays, start times will be spread out: 9:10, 10:20, 11:30, 12:37, etc. If so, I like to play NO SCORE 1st inning on the first game. If that doesn't hit, double up on the next, and so on. I don't have hard numbers or stats to back up this system, but it's fun and immediately gratifying.
Also, if a team has scored in the first inning three games in a row or longer (no matter the opponent), I'll play NO SCORE. It's a bit contrarian I suppose. I guess you could do the opposite too.
For those reasons, I stayed away from HOU/CLEV and STL/CHI
SD is due for a NO SCORE so I'll take them with you!
