I have seen this by a handful of coaches this year and I wonder what has happened to coaching and being classy. I for one would never wish a player to be hurt, but these coaches ask for it. Why is boise st not taking a knee up 10 with the game over. One could claim it is for the polls but that is total bs. Ian johnson could have gotten hurt on that meaningless play. I just do not understand these coaches. Sjst is a league team and you treat them with no respect. I lose all rescpect for coaches like this.

LOL, you guys are insane. I would of done the same thing Petersen did.

If you were on Boise St. 2nd half, you would be proclaiming him a hero.

Don't back bum offenses like SJSU and you don't run into this problem as much either.

Nothing classless about what he did tonight. Classless is what Mike Leach did last week. Hopefully, KU blows them out tomorrow.

You will learn that these teams looking to break into a BCS Bowl have to win convincingly ; class has nothing to do with it.

Huh?

Nevermind the fact that they are going to go undefeated & most likely miss out on a BCS game because of their creampuff schedule. If there's one team in the country to have a reason to try to win as impressively as possible, it's them.

Did you have SJST for the 2nd half or in a teaser?

San Jose State in a 2H play, I can all but guarantee.

Look, as I mentioned in another thread, coaches are going to try and punch in extra scores, especially when they're from a non-BCS conference, especially when the opposing team still has timeouts remaining and ESPECIALLY if their team is holding less than a two-touchdown lead.

There was nothing classless about what Peterson did, it's not as if he was calling long pass plays or trying to hit the bomb on an end-around trick play, he was simply running the ball up the middle. That's a way of just keeping the clock moving.

YAA is correct. Bad news is... I was somehow expecting SJST to win SU and keep it close. I did lean the OVER more though. It's like expecting BYU not to run up the score vs UTAH or something similar

A lot of folks were looking for that to happen. I think this SJSU team is pretty darned good, especially on defense, their quarterback just doesn't quite seem up to running much of an offense.
