I've never tried to tell anyone how to moderate but in my humble, honest opinion, this shit should be taken care of.

Too much is too much.

Intertops rules:

"c) Baseball bets are accepted in the following manner: Action - team against team, regardless of the starting pitcher. All bets are valid even if the listed pitcher does not start. Pitchers listed by Intertops.com are for information purposes only."

Yes. The price will be adjusted automatically. There is NO ADVANTAGE to playing 'action' at a book which will adjust the price for you. GL.

I always understood "ACTION" to mean that your bet stands at the price that you bet it REGARDLESS of who pitches.

Has this rule evolved or did I just never understand it to begin with?

Ham you never understood it. You give the bk the liberty to adjust the price in the event the listed's dont start.

ACTION = You will get whatever "Odds" are on the board, when the game starts.

LISTED PITCHERS = The listed pitchers "MUST" start, at the time you placed your bet..

Thank you Beantown Jim for bringing this to my attention.

I, like hamneggs, always assumed "Action" meant I had my wager at my price regardless of what happened. Went to my books, and Damn, everyone of them said thesame thing

They can adjust the price and force their intital adjusted price on me becuase I selected "action".

Thank you for starting this thread and thanks to all for explaining it and referencing various sites policies. Listeed pitchers for me.

Halifax, why do the two books you site handle this situation as I originally assumed it was structured (action=Action at the odds I booked) as opposed to the other books.

Thanks to all.

The books I deal with, allow me to cancel a bet. I am sure some books have their "Own" policies.

assassin:

There are two types of Action bets on baseball.

The "American" version of Action is what the Pinnacles and Olympics have, the version that 98% of the posters here are used to. The books can and most likely will adjust your odds to the prevailing new odds in the event of a pitching change.

--------------------------

The "European" version of "Action" is the typical way to bet on baseball at most of the European books. In these cases, your original odds are maintained in the event of a pitching change. At most of these books, you don't even have the option to choose "Listed Pitchers". Some of these books don't even list the names of the pitchers, they simply put the names of the teams and their respective odds on the betting page.

Gamebookers does it this way because they primarily target a non-North American client base. I'm not sure why Intertops does it this way.

H-

final accounting $534.18 out of $900. NOw the hard part begins, $17,100 of wager yet to make. Wow, that's a lot of action for me.

I'm leaning a little on the nets tonight, but don't think I'll wager it.
