As for Bucsfan, he is one hell of a capper and deserves every view and response he gets and I was by no means trying to seem negative towards him. I just used him as an example earlier because he had so many views thats all. I love the guy, along with Alan Palmer, Choptalk, C-LO, Ego74, etc...And when we happen to be all or mostly on a same side then it's safe to say it will be cashing more times than not. In my opinion there are followings here and loyalists that follow certain posters. That said, some are leaders and some are followers. March ahead and don't look back. Your record speaks for itself. Don't concern yourself with people patting you on the back because they'll drop you like a bad habit if you hit a losing streak.

SSI....the two_headed one is officially retired as I moved a while back and now hardly ever do I see the other half of the team. Guess it's just the one_headed_monster from now on.

stevfire.....the same goes for you my friend, no apologies are necessary here. And as for what you mentioned, that may be another reason people shy away because they give it a quick look over and see the high amount of plays. But hopefully they read this or one of my other posts in the past that has said that only my 5* and 3* plays should be paid attention to, the rest (1* plays) are merely to entertain myself and to try and keep sharp and aware on some of the other teams that may not look good to me on that day but may pay off down the line when they're in a game or match-up that I feel strongly about. In other words, it's hard to bet on or against a team that you know little about so playing teams (either for or against them) on a daily basis forces you to concentrate and study them throughout the season, not just in a particular series. ive seen your posts alot but speaking only for myself as a clueless follower of a select few your picks baffle me at times. do you bet every game on the board? its like the steam maker. he posted so many things it was a clusterfu*k of unclear picks. your 5star picks i get. but maybe you can post 3,4,and 5 star plays only? i look for brevity like ego74s and bucsfan67s posts.bubba-sc and potter too. winning systems.short and concise does it for me.you were seeking thoughts and these are mine. i read what ya got every day if your here before i go to work. i know you rocked in the nba POD this year and i bet those picks daily. your very good at this but a bit busy for a senseless blonde like me.:lolBIG: ~RG

roxygurl.....now I know I've made it when the Roxy-One makes an appearance in my thread. :howdy: I thank you for your post and appreciate your thoughts and I've made a change to my posting ways starting with today, friday. I took your advice and decided that there was too much cluster and confusion going on with me putting all of my plays on one post so I split them up. I'm hoping this helps you and others from being distracted and/or turned-off by the sight of my usual high number of plays, which are mostly always the 1* type. And trust me, the last thing I'd ever want to do is to turn you off baby *haha* j/k. Couldn't help myself there. But anyways thanks again for taking the time out to reply and fill in with your two-cents. Hopefully my changes will be for the better and you'll make more appearances in my threads in the future. Dude thats just the way it is around here! Iwent 6-2 +1200 last night and got 1 congrats! People just look and leave it seems like! Youre doing a great job and are one of the best! I don't understand why you make remarks like me being "a big shot" or you have to be a mod to get views......I am a "part time" moderator, and run contests here, thats all....How that makes me a "big shot" i dont know...Many here have met me in Vegas, and hopefully liked me as welll....But i doubt ANYONE would refer to me as a big shot, I'm a down home Midwestern boy who LOVES sports and LOVES gambling.....i simply have posted my plays here for 3 years, i love baseball, and usually am pretty good at it, so i share my plays so others can compare them with the plethora of good cappers we have here and hopefully reach a "winning consensus"......Unlike a lot that have passed through here, i have NEVER CLAIMED to be anything but what i am...I HAVE NEVER told people to follow me blindly, I HAVE NEVER claimed to be the BEST, the 2nd BEST or anything of the sort..........

I rarely go around talking about my capping, except in MY ONE THREAD daily, but i will defend myself on this point today.....I believe there are 4 reasons why i get alot of views this year...........

1. I have been a winner for 3 years here capping baseball....Once you have done it for awhile, people begin to believe its not a fluke, and that you are taking it serious, studying it, researching it, and have a "knack" for it....

2. Consistancy.....The way i play, and "cap" we rarely have HUGE winning days, but more importantly we RARELY EVER have HUGE losing days either....we're not looking to get rich tomorrow, just keep building the profits day by day...I think that appeals to many...

3. Units.......The one thing I am most proud of is the amount of money we have won over the last 3 years, NEVER making a play over 3 units, and only (1) 3 unit play a day, if that, sometimes there are none....There are other guys right now farther ahead than me......A guy could come here tomorrow and have the GAME OF THE CENTURY, 100 UNIT LOCK, and if he hits it, he will already be AHEAD of me in 1 day....But how many people can really bet that way?...Yes, some days i may have upwards of 12-15 units played, but they are divided out, and hardly EVER do we ever lose more than 5 units, even on a real bad day....LOTS of cappers cant say that, and i think that appeals to the smaller bettors like me, that arent loaded.....We dont want to be risking 10 units on one game, and get a blown save, error, etc.....Guys that get farther behind then u look at their card and they have 5 games at 6 units, 4 games at 4 units, there is no way a REAL gambler, can play that way, afford to play that way, or be STUPID ENOUGH to play that way.......


4. Stability.....I post plays every day, almost the same number of plays everyday (unless i really do/dont like a card), about the same number of units risked per day......I play both dogs and fav's, rarely risk on big dogs, but am not afraid of a winner just because its -150.......I dont try to beat you over the head with the plays, or have GAME OF THE YEARS, MORTAL LOCKS, UNCLE SAL TOLD ME TO PLAY THIS, or any of the other gimmicks some use....


So there, u asked, I answered.....

I dont think in one time that someone has congratulated me in a thread or commented on my success, have i failed to mention how many great cappers we have here in bases.....I consider it a team effort, and i compare with others after i post, to see where we stand, and notice what our "key" games are, etc.......I have said many times, u cant have TOO MUCH info, its all good for the player.....

But i must admit C-LO, those comments stood out to me, and felt they might have been unwarranted......

not sure about the rest of us "unrecognizable" guys, but all the Ego(pun-intended)-stroking I need is winning money and making sportsbook withdraws.

Thankfully Bucs hasn't done like many who have went on "nice runs" and went tout. He posts his winners everyday absolutely free of charge. I respect you C-LO, but don't understand why you would take a shot, even how minor it was, at Bucs.

da one: wellyou got noticed alright! i for one noticed your newly posted ytd record and happened to look at your thread today for the 1st time. you are doing well--i will continue to read it daily. which are you better at? sides or totals. also i feel roxy is right in keeping the selections simplified. i also tried to follow steamplayer and soon became very confused(not unusual) by the sheer numbers of bets. it seemed like they just kept coming faster and faster like the conveyer belt with chocolates on them. maybe i mean steammaker--anyway you get the picture.
