No crying in baseball, not true for HOLD'EM!

Been playing the game of HOLD'EM since the very early 80's and the crying from players in this game is second to none compared to any other game or sport that I know.

Most everybody has a bad beat story they like tp cry about............they cry about losing a hand on the river.........they cry about how they cant fathom a players starting hand............they continuely cry about how bad other players play..........they cry about how a player would possibly bluff or raise with a particular hand, they just flat out cry,cry,cry,cry, and cry to no end.

Wish I had a nickel for every bad beat I have heard over the years.........or how an individual lost to a player SUPPOSEDLY that has no clue on the game compared to THEM.

Sometimes it is funny watching all the relatively new players to this game fall into this category.

My advice to you newbies..........get used to it, you are going to have many many more bad beats and players who you THINK do not have a clue about the game clean you out.

The fact is, at least 90% of veteran players never stop CRYING in this game.

Yes indeed, HOLD'EM will bring out the crybaby in the vast majority of players.

So if I meet some of you at the VEGAS BASH, keep your HOLD'EM stories to yourself, I have real no use for them and have heard most of them anyway..............they happen to everybody that plays this game and occur frequently............GET USED TO IT, I GUARANTEE YOU WILL WIN YOUR SHARE OF GOOD BEATS ALSO............That is, if your worth a damn.

EVERY time I see Phil Hellmuth on TV in some tournament he gets knocked out by a bad beat. Somebody cursed the guy.

Last time some knumnut kept bluffing and Phil finally picked him off and went all in with him and the guy hit a miracle card to win. Naturally, Phil flipped out.

I know nobody likes the guy, but man does he take it up the ying yang on TV.

so I'm playing on-line last night and I get dealt AA and this guy keeps calling and calling.Another A falls on the river and I bet and NOW he raises. So I call and.....Ok I'll save the rest no whining.

Under your definition of crying, their is almost as much of it in baseball.

I've never really understood why folk moan about losing to a good river card. After all they know that 5 face up cards are going to be laid out before they start the hand, over the piece they will win lucky rivers just as often as they lose them.

Most folk don't show teams much sympathy when they lose to a late touchdown or turnover, so why is it different in poker?

I think it is just the probability of the odds to see that card come up at that time. I agree with your thinking though. Look to the next hand and forget that last.

It's lack of experience.. I've played for a year and i'd consider myself in the top 10% of online players (which isn't say much but something) and really nothing bothers me... the only shit that gets to me is idiots calling me with like 8 high hoping to steal the pot on the river (in limit) and i call and they get mad.. its like wtf moron fold.. thanks for the free bts.. it doesnt really bother me.. its just annoying..
