Chipper Jones has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to a lingering left thumb bruise.
Missed games are a significant part of the equation when you own the Braves' third baseman in fantasy leagues, but the first absence of the season comes even earlier than expected. The good news is that it appears he'll only miss one game. "We have a day off and don't play again until Friday," Jones said. "After a couple days of treatment, it should be OK." Omar Infante is getting the start at third today.
