I don't see how Houston tonight throwing Munro is a -180 Favorite. (TOO HIGH) IMO

Giants are +113 as of right now, what happens to the Wild Care price on Hou and SF when SF wins tonight and HOU gets a loss?

you'd most likely be able to get both teams at +250........and if SF wins and Hou gets a loss.....HOU may be more than +250 being back a game. I am not saying this will happen.....I just think that the +250 is a nice price for the Giants right now considering they are tied for the lead right now.

The difference between -250 and +250 is that much difference. I know Rueter is old and Munro is young. I know Hou is playing at home and SF is on the road, BUT Rueter has the experience of being in these big-game situations.

My Take - Grab a little of SF at +250......and hope for a sf win and a HOU loss. If this does happen you'll be looking at a decent Hedge back on HOU to win the WC for a profitable pay out.

Oh, and I won't even speak of the POOR Cubbies..........Everyone already knows that their season is done, and with the way the Cubs have been playing in Wrigley lately makes me think that their season is over....not to mention that the Braves are in town.

The Dodgers need one win for their first title since 1995. If not, it gets more complicated:


If the Giants sweep the series and the Houston Astros lose at least one game to the Rockies this weekend, the Dodgers would win the NL Wild Card and the Giants would win the NL West based on a better head-to-head record (10-9) against Los Angeles.

If the Giants and Astros run the table, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco would have 92-70 records, creating an NL West tie and an NL Wild Card tie. In that case, the Dodgers and Giants would have a one-game NL West playoff on Monday, and the loser would face the Astros for a one-game NL Wild Card playoff on Tuesday.
So the Dodgers would need to lose five consecutive games to have any chance of missing the postseason.

Thanks Q, appreciate the feedback - what happens if say SF and HOU both lose tonight and the cub win.....and all three teams win out on their last two games. In the Event of a 3-way tie for the NL Wld-Card with the Dodgers already clinching the West, what would happen then?

Interesting, wish I knew. ESPN usually has the breakdowns of these scenarios but I didn't see it anywhere on the website.

Maybe it will be like fantasy on yahoo and they will use best team ERA as the first tie breaker!!

Very doubtful they use Yahoo's "ERA Method" - I actually took a league last year b/c of that stupid rule. I felt bad for the 2nd place guy.....I gave him some loot.


I imagine that there was a "Coin flip" at some point that has already been determined. If the tie came into effect, they would know who plays who and so on. It may have something to do with their season records Vs eachother as well.

If anyone could help on this Q that would be great.
